And if the world is to be judged by you, are you unworthy of the smallest of cases? <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life? </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>So indeed, if you have judgment <i>as to</i> the things of this life, set you up those the <i>ones</i> being despised in the church! <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>I say this to you for shame. Thus is there not one wise <i>man</i> among you who will be able to decide in between his brother? <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Instead, brother goes to law against brother, and this before unbelievers! </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Therefore indeed it is already altogether a defeat for you that you have lawsuits among one another. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>But you do wrong and defraud, and these things to brothers! </p><p class="hdg">Members of Christ</p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Or do you not know that <i>the</i> unrighteous ones will not inherit <i>the</i> kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit <i>the</i> kingdom of God. <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And some <i>of</i> you were such. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“All things are lawful to me,” but not all things do profit. “All things are lawful to me,” but I will not be mastered by anything. <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“Foods for the belly and the belly for foods,” but God will destroy both this and these. Now the body <i>is</i> not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And by His power God has both raised up the Lord, and will raise us out. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Having taken then the members of the Christ, shall I make <i>them</i> members of a prostitute? Never may it be! <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Or do you not know that the <i>one</i> being joined to the prostitute is one body? For it says, “The two will become into one flesh.”<span class="fn"><a href="#fna" title="Genesis 2:24">a</a></span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>But the <i>one</i> being joined to the Lord is one spirit. </p><p class="hdg">The Temple of the Holy Spirit<br /><span class="cross">(Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 3:16-18)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Flee sexual immorality. Every sin, whatever if a man might do, is outside the body, but the <i>one</i> sinning sexually sins against the own body. <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own, <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_corinthians/6-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>for you were bought with a price.
