announcements? The <a href="https://www.iaspm.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/IASPM_CommunicationsCommittee_ToR.pdf">IASPM Communications Committee</a> (IASPMCC) is here to help! Established in January 2021, our mission is to disseminate updates on IASPM’s activities and research through various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and WeChat, in alignment with IASPM’s goal to foster the development of popular music studies worldwide.</p> <p>After a recent period of restructuring, we’re excited to announce that <strong>we’re back in action!</strong></p> <p>While the IASPM mailing list remains a vital hub for communication among members, the high volume of daily messages can sometimes overshadow important announcements. Additionally, the mailing list primarily serves IASPM members, which limits its reach—despite many IASPM events and activities being open to a broader audience.</p> <p>To address this, IASPMCC curates and shares select events and announcements from the mailing list across our social media channels. This initiative not only amplifies IASPM’s visibility but also helps bring the rich and dynamic field of popular music studies to wider, global audiences.</p> <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Submit Your Content to IASPMCC!</strong></h3> <p>To better serve the IASPM community, we are now welcoming direct submissions. If you have events, research updates, or other activities that you would like to share with a broader audience, we invite you to contribute! Send your submissions to <strong>iaspmcc@gmail.com</strong>. This is a fantastic opportunity to increase the visibility of your work, connect with a broader audience, and contribute to the global conversation on popular music.</p> <p>Submission Guidelines:</p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong>Content:</strong> We welcome submissions from all IASPM branches, individual members, and affiliated organizations. There are no restrictions on the types of activities – conferences, workshops, publications, calls for papers, etc., are all welcome!</li> <li><strong>Global Audience:</strong> Social media is a public platform. Please ensure your content and language are inclusive, professional, and appropriate for an international audience.</li> <li><strong>Visuals:</strong> Submissions with relevant images or graphics tend to have greater engagement. We encourage you to include visuals to maximize the impact of your post.</li> <li><strong>Timeliness:</strong> We aim to publish submissions promptly, but timing may vary depending on platform-specific considerations and our team’s schedules.</li> <li><strong>Long-term Call:</strong> This call for submissions is ongoing and has no deadline.
