A certificate is a requirement for many state continuing education units (CEU) programs.</p> <h2>Graduate Credit</h2> <h3>Dominican University of California</h3> <p>Located in the San Francisco Bay Area and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), <a href="https://dominicancaonline.com/" target="_blank">Dominican University of California</a> offers a full professional development program for credentialed educators. By attending ASCD Annual <i>in person or virtually</i>, you can earn one or two graduate-level credits in professional development through the Dominican University of California.</p> <p>To obtain credits/units, you must be registered for ASCD Annual, complete the required assignments, and pay a fee of $115 per credit/unit. By attending ASCD Annual you can earn one or two graduate-level credits in professional development through University of San Diego.</p> <p> To obtain credits/units, you must be registered for ASCD Annual, complete the required assignments, and per credit/unit fee. Click <a href="https://pce.sandiego.edu/courses/istelive-25-and-ascd-annual-conference-25/" target="_blank">here</a> to sign up for University of San Diego’s program. </p> <p>At ASCD Annual, USD will credit unit options for attending the conference.</p> <h2>Continuing Education Units</h2> <p>ASCD Annual is an approved content provider for CEUs in select states.</p> <h3>Texas</h3> <p>ASCD is an approved continuing professional education (CPE) provider for Texas educators. Track the sessions you attend in My Favorites to generate an official certificate of attendance after the event, then work directly with your district to receive credit. Be sure to record the CPE provider #500850. </p> <h3>New York</h3> <p>New York educators must maintain personal records of completed continuing teacher and education leader (CTLE), including:</p> <ul> <li>The title of the activities.</li> <li>Total number of hours completed.</li> <li>Number of hours completed in content, pedagogy and language acquisition addressing the needs of English language learners.</li> <li>Approved CTLE sponsor’s name and number.</li> <li>Educators’ identifying information listed on the activities.</li> <li>Attendance verification.</li> <li>Date and location of the activities.</li> </ul> <p>A sample CTLE record-keeping form is available <a href="http://www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert/pdf/donotsubmit-ctlerecord.pdf" target="_blank">online</a>.</p> <h3>Other States</h3> <p>If you are a certified educator in <strong>Arizona, Georgia, California, Louisiana, Ohio, Virginia, Missouri</strong> or <strong>Indiana</strong>, please work directly with your district to receive credit using your certificate of attendance.</p> <p>If you don’t live in one of the states listed above, you may still be eligible to get credit.
