id="why-does-it-matter">Why does it matter?</h3> <ul> <li>Inconsistent naming approaches across vendors and products can complicate configuration and operation.</li> </ul> <h3 id="how-does-it-work">How does it work?</h3> <ul> <li>It defines tags for fixed information about Nodes and Devices.</li> <li>These include Manufacturer, Product Name, Instance Identifier, and (for Devices only) Function.</li> </ul> <hr /> <p>BCP-002-02 has been developed by the <a href="https://www.amwa.tv">Advanced Media Workflow Association</a> as part of the <a href="https://www.amwa.tv/nmos-overview">Networked Media Open Specifications</a> initiative.
