In addition to r/R is 1, the axial velocity are more than 6 times of the radial velocity, the radial velocity has little impact on the axial velocity in a fixed fluidized bed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fischer-Tropsch%20synthesis" title="Fischer-Tropsch synthesis">Fischer-Tropsch synthesis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fixed%20fluidized%20bed" title=" Fixed fluidized bed"> Fixed fluidized bed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LDV" title=" LDV"> LDV</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Velocity" title=" Velocity"> Velocity</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/24993/measurements-of-radial-velocity-in-fixed-fluidized-bed-for-fischer-tropsch-synthesis-using-ldv" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/24993.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">405</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">266</span> Cold Model Experimental Research on Particle Velocity Distribution in Gas-Solid Circulating Fluidized Bed for Methanol-To-Olefins Process</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yongzheng%20Li">Yongzheng Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hongfang%20Ma"> Hongfang Ma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Qiwen%20Sun"> Qiwen Sun</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Haitao%20Zhang"> Haitao Zhang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Weiyong%20Ying"> Weiyong Ying</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Radial profiles of particle velocities were investigated in a 6.1 m tall methanol-to-olefins cold model experimental device using a TSI laser Doppler velocimeter. The results of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis performance showed that the cobalt catalyst supported on spherical silica supports displayed a higher activity and a higher selectivity to C5+ products, due to the fact that the active components were only distributed in the surface layer of spherical carrier, and the influence of gas diffusion restriction on catalytic performance was weakened. The Si/Al ratio of the initial system was systematically changed from 12.5 to infinity in order to study the limits of Al composition in precursor solutions for constructing CHA structure. The intermediates and final products were investigated by complementary techniques such as XRD, HRTEM, FESEM, and chemical analysis. NH3-TPD was used to study the Brønsted acidity of SSZ-13 samples with different Si/Al ratios. The effect of the Si/Al ratio on the precursor species, ultimate crystal size, morphology and yield was investigated. The results revealed that Al species determine the nucleation rate and the number of nuclei, which is tied to the morphology and yield of SSZ-13. The size of SSZ-13 increased and the yield decreased as the Si/Al ratio was improved. Varying Si/Al ratio of the initial system is a facile, commercially viable method of tailoring SSZ-13 crystal size and morphology. Furthermore, SSZ-13 materials with different Si/Al ratio were tested as catalysts for the methanol to olefins (MTO) reaction at 350 °C. SSZ-13 with the Si/Al ratio of 35 shows the best MTO catalytic performance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crystallization" title="crystallization">crystallization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MTO" title=" MTO"> MTO</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Si%2FAl%20ratio" title=" Si/Al ratio"> Si/Al ratio</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SSZ-13" title=" SSZ-13"> SSZ-13</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93128/effect-of-sial-ratio-on-ssz-13-crystallization-and-its-methanol-to-olefins-catalytic-properties" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93128.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">294</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">262</span> One Dimensional Reactor Modeling for Methanol Steam Reforming to Hydrogen</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hongfang%20Ma">Hongfang Ma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mingchuan%20Zhou"> Mingchuan Zhou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Haitao%20Zhang"> Haitao Zhang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Weiyong%20Ying"> Weiyong Ying</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> One dimensional pseudo-homogenous modeling has been performed for methanol steam reforming reactor. Direct conversion of syngas to light olefins has been investigated for decades. Meanwhile, the limit for light olefins selectivity described by Anderson-Schulz-Flory (ASF) distribution model is still a great challenge to conventional Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The emerging strategy called oxide-zeolite concept (OX-ZEO) is a promising way to get rid of this limit. ZnCrOx was prepared by co-precipitation method and (NH4)2CO3 was used as precipitant. SAPO-34 was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis, and Tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) was used as template, while silica sol, pseudo-boehmite, and phosphoric acid were Al, Si and P source, respectively. The bifunctional catalyst was prepared by mechanical mixing of ZnCrOx and SAPO-34. Catalytic reactions were carried out under H2/CO=2, 380 ℃, 1 MPa and 6000 mL·gcat-1·h-1 in a fixed-bed reactor with a quartz lining. Catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD, H2-TPR, and CO-TPD. The addition of Al as structure promoter enhances CO conversion and selectivity to light olefins. Zn/Cr ratio, which decides the active component content and chemisorption property of the catalyst, influences CO conversion and selectivity to light olefins at the same time. C2-4= distribution of 86% among hydrocarbons at CO conversion of 14% was reached when Zn/Cr=1.5. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=light%20olefins" title="light olefins">light olefins</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=OX-ZEO" title=" OX-ZEO"> OX-ZEO</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Syngas" title=" Syngas"> Syngas</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ZnCrO%E2%82%93" title=" ZnCrOₓ"> ZnCrOₓ</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93131/impact-of-zncr-ratio-on-zncrox-sapo-34-bifunctional-catalyst-for-direct-conversion-of-syngas-to-light-olefins" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93131.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">180</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">260</span> Location Privacy Preservation of Vehicle Data In Internet of Vehicles</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying%20Ying%20Liu">Ying Ying Liu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Austin%20Cooke"> Austin Cooke</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Parimala%20Thulasiraman"> Parimala Thulasiraman</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted a recent spark in research on Internet of Vehicles (IoV). ER fluid is a smart material, which cause the suspended particles polarize and connect each other to form chain. The stiffness and damping coefficients of the ER fluid can be changed in 10 micro seconds; therefore, ERF is suitable to become the material embedded in the tunable vibration absorber to become a smart absorber. For the ERF smart material embedded structure, the fuzzy control law depends on the experimental expert database and the proposed self-tuning strategy. The electric field is controlled by a CRIO embedded system to implement the real application. This study investigates the different performances using the Type-1 fuzzy and interval Type-2 fuzzy controllers. The Interval type-2 fuzzy control is used to improve the modeling uncertainties for this ERF embedded shock absorber. The self-tuning vibration controllers using Type-1 and Interval Type-2 fuzzy law are implemented to the shock absorber system. Based on the resulting performance, Internal Type-2 fuzzy is better than the traditional Type-1 fuzzy control for this vibration control system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electro-rheological%20fluid" title="electro-rheological fluid">electro-rheological fluid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=semi-active%20vibration%20control" title=" semi-active vibration control"> semi-active vibration control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shock%20absorber" title=" shock absorber"> shock absorber</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=type%202%20fuzzy%20control" title=" type 2 fuzzy control "> type 2 fuzzy control </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7630/interval-type-2-fuzzy-vibration-control-of-an-erf-embedded-smart-structure" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7630.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">447</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">257</span> Hair Regrowth Effect of Herbal Formula on Androgenic Alopecia Rat Model </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jian-You%20Wang">Jian-You Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Feng%20Yi%20Hsu"> Feng Yi Hsu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chieh-Hsi%20Wu"> Chieh-Hsi Wu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is an androgen-dependent disorder caused by excess testosterone in blood capillaries or excess enzyme activity of 5α- reductase in hair follicles. The aim of this study is to perform a detailed review of this rare disease in a large cohort of patients with TO proven by fiberoptic bronchoscopy from China. Patients and Methods: Retrospective chart review was performed on 41,600 patients who underwent bronchoscopy in the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Changhai Hospital between January 2005 and December 2012. Cases of TO were identified based on characteristic features during bronchoscopic examination. Results: 22 cases of bronchoscopic TO were identified. Among whom one-half were male and the mean age was 47.45 ±10.91 years old. The most frequent symptoms at presentation were chronic cough (n=14) and increased sputum production (n=10). Radiographic abnormalities were observed in 3/18 patients and findings on computed tomography consistent with TO such as beaded intraluminal calcifications and/or increased luminal thickenings were observed in 18/22 patients. Patients were classified into the following categories based on the severity of bronchoscopic findings: Stage I (n=2), Stage II (n=6) and Stage III(n=14). The result that bronchoscopic improvement was observed in 2 patients administered with inhaled corticosteroids suggested that resolution of this disease is possible. Conclusions: TO is a benign disease with slow progression, which could be roughly divided into 3 stages on the basis of the characteristic endoscopic features and histopathologic findings. Chronic inflammation was thought to be more important than the other existing plausible hypotheses in the course of TO. Inhaled corticosteroids might have some impact on patients at Stage I/II. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=airway%20obstruction" title="airway obstruction">airway obstruction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bronchoscopy" title=" bronchoscopy"> bronchoscopy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=etiology" title=" etiology"> etiology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tracheobronchopathia%20osteochondroplastica%20%28TO%29" title=" Tracheobronchopathia osteochondroplastica (TO)"> Tracheobronchopathia osteochondroplastica (TO)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=treatment" title=" treatment"> treatment</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17926/a-clinical-study-of-tracheobronchopathia-osteochondroplastica-findings-from-a-large-chinese-cohort" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17926.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">464</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">254</span> The Protective Role of Decoy Receptor 3 Analogue on Rat Steatotic Liver against Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury by Blocking M1/Th1 Polarization and Multiple Upstream Pathogenic Cascades</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tzu-Hao%20Li">Tzu-Hao Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shie-Liang%20Hsieh"> Shie-Liang Hsieh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Han-Chieh%20Lin"> Han-Chieh Lin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying-Ying%20Yang"> Ying-Ying Yang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> TNF superfamily-stimulated pathogenic cascades and macrophage (M1)/kupffer cells (KC) polarization are important in the pathogenesis of ischemia-reperfusion (IR) liver injury in animals with hepatic steatosis (HS). Decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) is a common upstream inhibitor of the above-mentioned pathogenic cascades. The study evaluated whether modulation of these DcR3-related cascades was able to protect steatotic liver from IR injury. Serum and hepatic DcR3 levels were lower in patients and animals with HS. Accordingly, the effects of pharmacologic and genetic DcR3 replacement on the IR-related pathogenic changes were measured. Significantly, DcR3 replacement protected IR-Zucker(HS) rats and IR-DcR3-Tg(HS) mice from IR liver injury. The beneficial effects of DcR3 replacement were accompanied by decreased serum/hepatic TNF, soluble TNF-like cytokine 1A (TL1A), Fas ligand (Fas-L) and LIGHT, T-helper-cell-1 cytokine (INF) levels, neutrophil infiltration, M1 polarization, neutrophil-macrophage/KC-T-cell interaction, hepatocyte apoptosis and improved hepatic microcirculatory failure among animals with IR-injured steatotic livers. Additionally, TL1A, Fas-L, LIGHT and TLR4/NFB signals were found to mediate the DcR3-related protective effects of steatotic livers from IR injury. Using multimodal in vivo and in vitro approaches, we found that DcR3 was a potential agent to protect steatotic livers from IR injury by simultaneous blocking the multiple IR injury-related pathogenic changes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Decoy%203%20receptor" title="Decoy 3 receptor">Decoy 3 receptor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ischemia-reperfusion%20injury" title=" ischemia-reperfusion injury"> ischemia-reperfusion injury</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=M1%20polarization" title=" M1 polarization"> M1 polarization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TNF%20superfamily" title=" TNF superfamily"> TNF superfamily</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77043/the-protective-role-of-decoy-receptor-3-analogue-on-rat-steatotic-liver-against-ischemia-reperfusion-injury-by-blocking-m1th1-polarization-and-multiple-upstream-pathogenic-cascades" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77043.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">208</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">253</span> The Empirical Analysis and Comparisons Using TAIEX Derivatives</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pao-Peng%20Hsu">Pao-Peng Hsu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying-Hsiu%20Chen"> Ying-Hsiu Chen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Historical data shows that there were high correlations among TAIEX Futures, Electronic Sector Index Futures, Finance Sector Index Futures and Taiwan Top 50 ETF. For the selected area, 6 to 12 portable photoionization detector (PID) were placed uniformly in its workplace to measure its total VOCs concentrations (CT-VOCs) for 6 randomly selected workshifts. Simultaneously, one sampling strain was placed beside one of these portable PIDs, and the collected air sample was analyzed for individual concentration (CVOCi) of 5 VOCs (xylene, butanone, toluene, butyl acetate, and dimethylformamide). Predictive models were established by relating the CT-VOCs to CVOCi of each individual compound via simple regression analysis. The established predictive models were employed to predict each CVOCi based on the measured CT-VOC for each the similar working area using the same portable PID. Results show that predictive models obtained from simple linear regression analyses were found with an R2 = 0.83~0.99 indicating that CT-VOCs were adequate for predicting CVOCi. In order to verify the validity of the exposure prediction model, the sampling analysis of the above chemical substances was further carried out and the correlation between the measured value (Cm) and the predicted value (Cp) was analyzed. It was found that there is a good correction between the predicted value and measured value of each measured chemical substance (R2=0.83~0.98). Therefore, the surrogate approach could be assessed the exposure concentration of similar exposed groups using the same chemicals but different formula ratios. However, it is recommended to establish the prediction model between the chemical substances belonging to each coater and the direct-reading PID, which is more representative of reality exposure situation and more accurately to estimate the long-term exposure concentration of operators. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=exposure%20assessment" title="exposure assessment">exposure assessment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=exposure%20prediction%20model" title=" exposure prediction model"> exposure prediction model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=surrogate%20approach" title=" surrogate approach"> surrogate approach</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TVOC" title=" TVOC"> TVOC</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/96267/establishing-a-surrogate-approach-to-assess-the-exposure-concentrations-during-coating-process" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/96267.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">150</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">251</span> Inactivation of Semicarbazide-Sensitive Amine Oxidase Induces the Phenotypic Switch of Smooth Muscle Cells and Aggravates the Development of Atherosclerotic Lesions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Miao%20Zhang">Miao Zhang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Limin%20Liu"> Limin Liu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Feng%20Zhi"> Feng Zhi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Panpan%20Niu"> Panpan Niu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mengya%20Yang"> Mengya Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xuemei%20Zhu"> Xuemei Zhu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying%20Diao"> Ying Diao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jun%20Wang"> Jun Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying%20Zhao"> Ying Zhao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Background and Aims: Clinical studies have demonstrated that serum semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO) activities positively correlate with the progression of atherosclerosis. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of SSAO inactivation on the development of atherosclerosis. Methods: Female LDLr knockout (KO) mice were given the Western-type diet for 6 and 9 weeks to induce the formation of early and advanced lesions, and semicarbazide (SCZ, 0.125%) was added into the drinking water to inactivate SSAO in vivo. Results: Despite no impact on plasma total cholesterol levels, abrogation of SSAO by SCZ not only resulted in the enlargement of both early (1.5-fold, p=0.0043) and advanced (1.8-fold, p=0.0013) atherosclerotic lesions, but also led to reduced/increased lesion contents of macrophages/smooth muscle cells (SMCs) (macrophage: ~0.74-fold, p=0.0002(early)/0.0016(advanced); SMC: ~1.55-fold, p=0.0003(early) /0.0001(advanced)), respectively. Moreover, SSAO inactivation inhibited the migration of circulating monocytes into peripheral tissues and reduced the amount of circulating Ly6Chigh monocytes (0.7-fold, p=0.0001), which may account for the reduced macrophage content in lesions. In contrast, the increased number of SMCs in lesions of SCZ-treated mice is attributed to an augmented synthetic vascular SMC phenotype switch as evidenced by the increased proliferation of SMCs and accumulation of collagens in vivo. Conclusion: SSAO inactivation by SCZ promotes the phenotypic switch of SMCs and the development of atherosclerosis. The enzymatic activity of SSAO may thus represent a potential target in the prevention and/or treatment of atherosclerosis. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=atherosclerosis" title="atherosclerosis">atherosclerosis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phenotype%20switch%20of%20smooth%20muscle%20cells" title=" phenotype switch of smooth muscle cells"> phenotype switch of smooth muscle cells</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SSAO%2FVAP-1" title=" SSAO/VAP-1"> SSAO/VAP-1</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=semicarbazide" title=" semicarbazide"> semicarbazide</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45625/inactivation-of-semicarbazide-sensitive-amine-oxidase-induces-the-phenotypic-switch-of-smooth-muscle-cells-and-aggravates-the-development-of-atherosclerotic-lesions" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45625.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">329</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">250</span> The Right of Taiwanese Individuals with Mental Illnesses to Participate in Medical Decision-Making</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying-Lun%20Tseng%20Chiu-Ying%20Chen">Ying-Lun Tseng Chiu-Ying Chen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Taiwan's Mental Health Act was amended at the end of 2022; they added regulations regarding refusing compulsory treatment by patients with mental illnesses. In addition, not only by an examination committee, the judge must also assess the patient's need for compulsory treatment. Additionally, the maximum of compulsory hospitalization has been reduced from an unlimited period to a maximum of 60 days. They aim to promote the healthcare autonomy of individuals with mental illnesses in Taiwan and prevent their silenced voice in medical decision-making while they still possess rationality. Furthermore, they plan to use community support and social care networks to replace the current practice of compulsory treatment in Taiwan. This study uses qualitative research methodology, utilizing interview guidelines to inquire about the experiences of Taiwanese who have undergone compulsory hospitalization, compulsory community treatment, and compulsory medical care. The interviews aimed to explore their feelings when they were subjected to compulsory medical intervention, the inside of their illness, their opinions after treatments, and whether alternative medical interventions proposed by them were considered. Additionally, participants also asked about their personal life history and their support networks in their lives. We collected 12 Taiwanese who had experienced compulsory medical interventions and were interviewed 14 times. The findings indicated that participants still possessed rationality during the onset of their illness. However, when they have other treatments to replace compulsory medical, they sometimes diverge from those of the doctors and their families. Finally, doctors prefer their professional judgment and patients' families' option. Therefore, Taiwanese mental health patients' power of decision-making still needs to improve. Because this research uses qualitative research, so difficult to find participants, and the sample size rate was smaller than Taiwan's population, it may have biases in the analysis. So, Taiwan still has significant progress in enhancing the decision-making rights of participants in the study. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=medical%20decision%20making" title="medical decision making">medical decision making</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=compulsory%20treatment" title=" compulsory treatment"> compulsory treatment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=medical%20ethics" title=" medical ethics"> medical ethics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mental%20health%20act" title=" mental health act"> mental health act</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/168659/the-right-of-taiwanese-individuals-with-mental-illnesses-to-participate-in-medical-decision-making" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/168659.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">80</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">249</span> Discussion on Microstructural Changes Caused by Deposition Temperature of LZO Doped Mg Piezoelectric Films</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Cheng-Ying%20Li">Cheng-Ying Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sheng-Yuan%20Chu"> Sheng-Yuan Chu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This article deposited LZO-doped Mg piezoelectric thin films via RF sputtering and observed microstructure and electrical characteristics by varying the deposition temperature. The framework will help researchers and practitioner to find ways to improve online auction effectiveness. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Auction%20Effectiveness" title="Auction Effectiveness">Auction Effectiveness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Framework%20Developing" title=" Framework Developing"> Framework Developing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Online%20Auction" title=" Online Auction"> Online Auction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Selling%20Strategy" title=" Selling Strategy"> Selling Strategy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50851/developing-a-framework-for-online-auction-effectiveness" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50851.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">338</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">247</span> Template-Assisted Synthesis of IrO2 Nanopores Membrane Electrode Assembly</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhuo-Xin%20Lu">Zhuo-Xin Lu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yan%20Shi"> Yan Shi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chang-Feng%20Yan"> Chang-Feng Yan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying%20Huang"> Ying Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yuan%20Gan"> Yuan Gan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhi-Da%20Wang"> Zhi-Da Wang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> With TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNTA) as template, a IrO2 nanopores membrane electrode assembly (MEA) was synthesized by a novel depositi-assemble-etch strategy. By analysing the morphology of IrO2/TNTA and cyclic voltammetry (CV) curve at different deposition cycles, we proposed a reasonable scheme for the process of IrO2 electrodeposition on TNTA. The current density of IrO2/TNTA at 1.5V vs RHE reaches 5.12mA/cm2 after 55 cycles deposition, which shows promising performance for its high OER activity after template removal. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electrodeposition" title="electrodeposition">electrodeposition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IrO2%20nanopores" title=" IrO2 nanopores"> IrO2 nanopores</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MEA" title=" MEA"> MEA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=OER" title=" OER"> OER</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46915/template-assisted-synthesis-of-iro2-nanopores-membrane-electrode-assembly" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46915.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">446</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">246</span> Investors’ Misreaction to Subsequent Bad News</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Liang-Chien%20Lee">Liang-Chien Lee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chih-Hsiang%20Chang"> Chih-Hsiang Chang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ying-Shu%20Tseng"> Ying-Shu Tseng</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Comparing with prior studies mainly focused on the effect of a certain event (it may be the initial announcement of bad news or the repeated announcements of identical bad news) on stock price, the aim of this study is to explore how investors react to subsequent bad news with identical content. the identical bad news (i.e., known bad news). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=subsequent%20bad%20news" title="subsequent bad
