This requirement will lessen the chance of publication bias by making all trials (published or unpublished) available to clinicians, investigators, and the public, even those that are negative or reflect unfavorably on a research sponsor's product.</div> </div> <div class="divSec"> <div class="subpage-title02 pb-2">13) Prospective, randomized studies</div> <div>JGO welcomes submissions of well-structured prospective, randomized studies or long-term observational studies of previously published prospective, randomized trials. Fast-track for editorial handling and, potentially, publication is available. Please contact the Editorial office.</div> <div>Studies of prognostic markers should be prospective and have a clear view of the practical clinical application of the results. Retrospective analysis of biomarkers may be considered for publication if performed within the framework of data collected from prospective trials with appropriate statistics and multivariate analysis with established predictive/prognostic markers.</div> <div>Any registered clinical trial number should be indicated after the abstract. In clinical trials, it is a principle to recruit subjects prospectively. If some of the subjects were recruited retrospectively, this should be indicated in the abstract and methodology of the main text such as insertion of “retrospective registration” or “First Recruitment Date: mmddyyyy and Registry Enrollment Date: mmddyyyy”.
