Behold, I am healing you, and on the third day you shall go up to the house of LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And I shall add to your days fifteen years, and from the hands of the King of Assyria I shall save you and this city, and I shall rest on this city and I shall save it for my sake and the sake of David my Servant.&#8221; <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And Isaiah said: &#8220;They shall take a mass of figs and they shall put it on the absess and it is healed.&#8221;<p> <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And Hezekiah said to Isaiah: &#8220;What is the sign that LORD JEHOVAH heals me, and I come up on the third day to the house of LORD JEHOVAH?&#8221; <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And Isaiah said: &#8220;This is the sign for you from before LORD JEHOVAH, that LORD JEHOVAH will perform for you the statement that he spoke: will the shadow walk ten degrees, or will it return ten degrees?&#8221; <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And Hezekiah said: &#8220;This is little that the shadow would walk ten degrees; not so, but let the shadow return behind itself ten degrees!&#8221; <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And Isaiah the Prophet called to LORD JEHOVAH, and the shadow returned by the degrees that the sun had gone down in the degrees of Akhaz, ten degrees backward.<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>At that time Merudak Baladan, son of Baladan, King of Babel, sent a letter and an offering to Hezekiah when he heard that Hezekiah was ill and he survived. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And Hezekiah rejoiced with them and he showed them the house of his treasury, silver and gold and fragrances and fine ointment and all the houses of his armory, and all that was found in the house of his treasury, and Hezekiah left nothing that he did not show them in his house and in all the place of his dominion. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And Isaiah the Prophet came to Hezekiah the King and said to him: &#8220;What did these men say to you, and from where did they come to you?&#8221; And Hezekiah said: &#8220;From the distant land of Babel they came to me.&#8221; <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And he said: &#8220;What did they see in your house?&#8221; And Hezekiah said, &#8220;All that is in my house they have seen, and I left out nothing in my house that I have not shown them in my treasury.&#8221;<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And Isaiah said to Hezekiah: &#8220;Hear the answer of LORD JEHOVAH: <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>Behold, the days are coming and everyone who is in your house shall be taken, and the treasure that your fathers kept until today shall go to Babel, and you shall have nothing left, says LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And some of your children whom you beget who will come out of you, they shall be taken away and they shall be Eunuchs in the temple of the King of Babel.&#8221; <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/20-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>And Hezekiah said to Isaiah: &#8220;The answer of LORD JEHOVAH which you have spoken is good!
