Little research, if any, has been conducted in this field, and on e-learning in general in Palestine; for Palestine. On university level, as well as on national level through Ministry of Higher Education, several initiatives have been launched to improve quality of education, and to incorporate e-learning into the education system. In light of such initiatives, and within a larger research project, this paper tried to tackle one side of the issue concerning faculty members\u0026amp;#39; perception. A questionnaire was distributed and responses collected during the months of June and July 2007. Data was analyzed using SPSS, and then findings were reported and discussed. Conclusions were drawn out of this discussion, revealing some interesting outcomes. Examples of such are tht faculty members have positive perception and attitude towards e-learning, and training on e-learning should be carried out more intensively and For Palestinian education, elearning has become a necessity rather than a luxury to mitigate the negative effects of the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the access to quality education. However, the use of e-learning by higher education instructors is still underutilized and considerable efforts should be made to enable them to take full advantage of the potential of e-learning. Thus, the purpose of the research reported in this paper is to investigate the factors that affect the attitude of higher education instructors towards the adoption of e-learning through a proposed Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with multidimensional; socio-technical and organizational factors. Triangulation data were collected through semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire. Different teaching staff at Birzeit University from a cross section of different academic programs was asked to identify patterns and variations in their experiences, perspectives, and interpretations about the adoption of e-learning. The study findings show that instructors have positive attitudes to embark on e-learning initiatives. This research further demonstrates that individual characteristics and technological factors have a significant influence on instructors to adopt e-learning. However, organizational factors were found to be the most significant determinant for adopting e-learning. Political will and the capacity of the university to respond quickly and appropriately to the transition change is crucial to facilitate wider adoption. Methods: Descriptive survey method (field study) was used in this study. Statistical populations were 140 professors of faculty members of Islamic Azad University of Sari of which 103 were selected randomly as a sample according to Kerjsi-Morgan chart. For data collection, the researcher made questionnaire considering global experiences was used. Professors&#39; judgment of this field was used to determine the validity. The reliability of questionnaire was 0/88 calculated via Cronbach&#39;s alpha. Data analysis was done according to descriptive and inferential statistics (one sample t- test). Results: The results of this study showed that online or attendance training, networks, video conference, multimedia, training through cell phones, and also training via TV, audio, and video tapes have important role in student&#39;s training and learning process. HU is considered one of the leading universities in adopting e-learning. The attitude toward ICT and e-learning is measured to understand how ICT and e-learning would be accepted through applying the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory.
