<t><p class="indent1">The horse<MH5483b> and its rider<MH7392> He has hurled<MH7411a> into the sea<MH3220>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>“<span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>The LORD<MH3050> is my strength<MH5797> and song<MH2172>, <t><p class="indent1">And He has become<MH1961> my salvation<MH3444>; <t><p class="indent1">This<MH2088> is my God<MH410>, and I will praise<MH5115a> Him; <t><p class="indent1">My father’s<MH1> God<MH430>, and I will exalt<MH7311> Him. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>“The LORD<MH3068> is a warrior<MH4421>; <t><p class="indent1"><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>The LORD<MH3068> is His name<MH8034>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>“Pharaoh’s<MH6547> chariots<MH4818> and his army<MH2428> He has thrown<MH3384> into the sea<MH3220>; <t><p class="indent1">And the choicest<MH4005> of his officers<MH7991c> are <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>drowned<MH2883> in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>Red<MH5488> Sea<MH3220>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>“The waters<MH8415> cover<MH3680> them; <t><p class="indent1">They went<MH3381> down<MH3381> into the depths<MH4688> like<MH3644> a stone<MH68>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>“Your right<MH3225> hand<MH3225>, LORD<MH3068>, is majestic<MH142> in power<MH3581b>; <t><p class="indent1">Your right<MH3225> hand<MH3225>, LORD<MH3068>, destroys<MH7492> the enemy<MH340>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“And in the greatness<MH7230> of Your <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>excellence<MH1347b> You overthrow<MH2040> those who rise<MH6965> up<MH6965> against You; <t><p class="indent1">You send<MH7971> out<MH7971> Your burning<MH2740> anger<MH2740>, <i>and</i> it consumes<MH398> them like chaff<MH7179>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>“At the blast<MH7307> of Your nostrils<MH639> the waters<MH4325> were piled<MH6192> up, <t><p class="indent1">The flowing<MH5140> waters<MH4325> stood<MH5324> up<MH5324> like<MH3644> a heap<MH5067a>; <t><p class="indent1">The depths<MH8415> were congealed<MH7087a> in the heart<MH3820> of the sea<MH3220>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“The enemy<MH340> said<MH559>, ‘I will pursue<MH7291>, I will overtake<MH5381>, I will divide<MH2505a> the spoils<MH7998>; <t><p class="indent1"><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>I shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>be satisfied<MH4390> against them; <t><p class="indent1">I will draw<MH7385a> my sword<MH2719>, my hand<MH3027> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>destroy<MH3423> them.’ <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>“You blew<MH5398> with Your wind<MH7307>, the sea<MH3220> covered<MH3680> them; <t><p class="indent1">They sank<MH6749> like lead<MH5777> in the mighty<MH117> waters<MH4325>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“Who<MH4310> is like<MH3644> You among the gods<MH410>, LORD<MH3068>? <t><p class="indent1">Who<MH4310> is like<MH3644> You, majestic<MH142> in holiness<MH6944>, <t><p class="indent1">Awesome<MH3372a> in praises<MH8416>, working<MH6213a> wonders<MH6382>? <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“You reached<MH5186> out<MH5186> with Your right<MH3225> hand<MH3225>, <t><p class="indent1">The earth<MH776> swallowed<MH1104> them. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“In Your <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>faithfulness<MH2617a> You have led<MH5148> the people<MH5971a> whom<MH2098> You have redeemed<MH1350>; <t><p class="indent1">In Your strength<MH5797> You have guided<MH5095> <i>them</i> to Your holy<MH6944> habitation<MH5116a>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>“The peoples<MH5971a> have heard<MH8085>, they tremble<MH7264>; <t><p class="indent1">Anguish<MH2427> has gripped<MH270> the inhabitants<MH3427> of Philistia<MH6429>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“Then<MH227> the chiefs<MH441b> of Edom<MH112b> were terrified<MH926>; <t><p class="indent1">The leaders<MH352c> of Moab<MH4124>, trembling<MH7461a> grips<MH270> them; <t><p class="indent1">All<MH3605> the inhabitants<MH3427> of Canaan<MH3667a> have despaired<MH4127>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>“Terror<MH367> and dread<MH6343> fall<MH5307> upon them; <t><p class="indent1">By the greatness<MH1419> of Your arm<MH2220> they are<MH1826a> motionless<MH1826a> as stone<MH68>, <t><p class="indent1">Until<MH5704> Your people<MH5971a> pass<MH5674a> over<MH5674a>, LORD<MH3068>, <t><p class="indent1">Until<MH5704> the people<MH5971a> pass<MH5674a> over<MH5674a> whom<MH2098> You have purchased<MH7069>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>“You will bring<MH935> them and plant<MH5193> them in the mountain<MH2022> of Your inheritance<MH5159>, <t><p class="indent1">The place<MH4349>, LORD<MH3068>, which You have made<MH6466> as Your dwelling<MH3427>, <t><p class="indent1">The sanctuary<MH4720>, Lord<MH136>, which Your hands<MH3027> have established<MH3559>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>“The LORD<MH3068> shall reign<MH4427a> forever<MH5769> and ever<MH5703>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>For the horses<MH5483b> of Pharaoh<MH6547> with his chariots<MH7393> and his horsemen<MH6571b> went<MH935> into the sea<MH3220>, and the LORD<MH3068> brought<MH7725> back<MH7725> the waters<MH4325> of the sea<MH3220> on them, but the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> walked<MH1980> on dry<MH3004> land<MH3004> through the midst<MH8432> of the sea<MH3220>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Miriam<MH4813> the prophetess<MH5031>, Aaron’s<MH175> sister<MH269>, took<MH3947> the tambourine<MH8596> in her hand<MH3027>, and all<MH3605> the women<MH802> went<MH3318> out<MH3318> after<MH310> her with tambourines<MH8596> and with <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>dancing<MH4246>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>And Miriam<MH4813> answered<MH6030a> them, <p class="indent1stline">“Sing<MH7891> to the LORD<MH3068>, for He <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>is highly<MH1342> exalted<MH1342>; <t><p class="indent1">The horse<MH5483b> and his rider<MH7392> He has hurled<MH7411a> into the sea<MH3220>.” <p class="hdg">The LORD Provides Water</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Then Moses<MH4872> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>led<MH5265> Israel<MH3478> from the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>Red<MH5488> Sea<MH3220>, and they went<MH3318> out<MH3318> into the wilderness<MH4057b> of Shur<MH7793>; and they went<MH1980> three<MH7969> days<MH3117> in the wilderness<MH4057b> and found<MH4672> no<MH3808> water<MH4325>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>When they came<MH935> to Marah<MH4785>, they could<MH3201> not drink<MH8354> the waters<MH4325> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>of Marah<MH4785>, because<MH3588> they were <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>bitter<MH4751>; for that<MH3651> reason<MH3651> it was named<MH7121, 8034> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>Marah<MH4785>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>So the people<MH5971a> grumbled<MH3885b> at Moses<MH4872>, saying<MH559>, “What<MH4100> are we to drink<MH8354>?” <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Then he cried<MH6817> out<MH6817> to the LORD<MH3068>, and the LORD<MH3068> showed<MH3384> him a tree<MH6086>; and he threw<MH7993> <i>it</i> into the waters<MH4325>, and the waters<MH4325> became<MH4985> sweet<MH4985>. <p class="paragraph"> There<MH8033> He made<MH7760> for them a statute<MH2706> and regulation<MH4941>, and there<MH8033> He tested<MH5254> them. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/15-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>And He said<MH559>, “If<MH518> you will listen<MH8085> carefully<MH8085> to the voice<MH6963> of the LORD<MH3068> your God<MH430>, and do<MH6213a> what is right<MH3477> in His sight<MH5869>, and listen<MH238> to His commandments<MH4687>, and keep<MH8104> all<MH3605> His statutes<MH2706>, I will put<MH7760> none<MH3605, 3808> of the diseases<MH4245a> on you which<MH834> I have put<MH7760> on the Egyptians<MH4714>;
