Now, LORD JEHOVAH, take my soul from me, because I have not been better than my fathers!&#8221; <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And he fell asleep and he sank under the oak, and behold, an Angel came to him and said to him: &#8220;Arise! Eat!&#8221; <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And he turned and he saw his pillow a round baked cake and a jug of water, and he ate and drank and returned to sleep. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And the Angel of LORD JEHOVAH returned the second time; he came to him and said: &#8220;Arise, eat and drink, because the way is too much for you.&#8221; <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And he arose, he ate and drank, and walked in the power of this food forty days and forty nights unto the mountain of God at Khurib.<p> <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And he entered there a cave, and he spent the night there, and the word of LORD JEHOVAH came upon him, and he said to him: &#8220;What are you doing here, Elyah?&#8221; <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And he said: &#8220;Being zealous, I have been zealous for LORD JEHOVAH God of Hosts, because the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, they have overthrown your altars and they have murdered your Prophets by the sword, and I am left, I alone, and behold, they seek to take my life!&#8221;<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And he said to him: &#8220;Go out and stand on the mountain before LORD JEHOVAH.&#8221; And behold, LORD JEHOVAH made a great and mighty wind ripping apart the mountains and breaking the rocks before LORD JEHOVAH. LORD JEHOVAH was not in the wind, and after the wind, an earthquake. LORD JEHOVAH was not in the earthquake. <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/1_kings/19-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And after the earthquake, a fire. LORD JEHOVAH was not in the fire.
