Se intentará dar cuenta del giro estético de la epistemología así como del carácter ficcional de la realidad. Es así como la expansión de las categorías estéticas —en el dominio de lo óntico y no sólo en el de lo semiótico-cultural— proporcionará el único paradigma posible en las nuevas condiciones de nues-tro trato con la realidad. A este respecto, especial atención merecerán las cate-gorías de narratividad y mundo posible como instancias fundamentales de la hermenéutica posmoderna. ABSTRACT • This work analyzes the scope of fiction as knowledge, subjectivity and text, as well as the relationship between world and language. It attempts to refer to the aesthetic turn of epistemology as well as to the fictional character of reality. Del mismo modo que existen dificultades para delimitar los campos de una historia externalista y otra internalista, existen también dificultades para discutir cuestiones propias de la historia epistemológica: la exigencia de recurrencia, el problema de la actualidad de la historia de la ciencia o la cuestión del conocimiento científico como siendo un conocimiento acumulativo y progresivo.
