Buildings represented in the collection include: the Memorial Union, Kerr Hall, Wellman Hall, Olson Hall, Sproul Hall, the Law School (King Hall), the Engineering complex, the Chemistry complex, Storer Hall, and Briggs Hall, among others. Stumpf took photographs of these construction sites before, during, and after construction. Several images of the city of Davis are present. The output includes daily temperature, density, velocity, and wind stress from 2005-2009, at 42 depth levels, with a vertical resolution that varies from 10 m at the surface to 250 m at depth, and a nominal horizontal resolution of 0.1º. Edward Hoffmeister Films</h2> </a> <p>John Edward Hoffmeister (1899-1991) was a professor of geology at the University of Rochester from 1923 until 1964. His research focused on the development of coral reefs, based on field work he conducted in the Tongan and Fijian islands in the late 1920s and early 1930s and off the coast of Florida during the 1960s and 1970s. Hoffmeister recorded on 16mm film scenes of daily village life and panoramic views of the islands he visited.
