Calismanin orneklemini, Selcuk Universitesi Alaaddin Keykubat Kampusu’nde yer alan Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yuksekokulu’nda ogrenim goren onlisans duzeyindeki 247 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Arastirmada ilkogretim ogrencilerinin internet bagimliliklarini belirlemek amaciyla, Young (1996) tarafindan gelistirilen ve Turkceye uyarlanmasi Bayraktar (2001) tarafindan yapilan “Internet Bagimlilik Olcegi” kullanilmistir. Olcek besli likert tipinde olup, 20 maddeden olusmaktadir. Ogrencilere demografik veriler icin cinsiyet, yas, ogretim durumu(normal ogretim-ikinci ogretim), aylik harclik tutari ile ilgili sorular sorulmustur. Olcegin Cronbach alfa (a) ic tutarlik katsayisi .914 olarak bulunmustur. Bu tanımlayıcı çalışmanın amacı ergenlerin IB durumlarını ve internet başından ayrılamadıkları için erteledikleri bazı günlük yaşam aktivitelerini belirlemektir (n=828). İnternette olduğu zamanlarda; altı saatten az uyuyan, sadece iki ana öğün yiyen, ara öğünlerini atlayan, ana öğünlerini bilgisayar başında yiyen, atıştırmalık (abur-cubur) birşeyler ile öğününü atlayan, tuvalet ve bazı hijyenik ihtiyaçlarını (el yıkama, banyo yapma) erteleyen ve çalışmayı ertelediği için okul başarı zayıf olan ergenlerin IB skorları diğerlerinden daha yüksektir (p<0.05). Aynı zamanda bu ergenlerin internet başında uzun zaman geçirdikleri için baş-boyun ve kol veya herhangi bir bölgesinde ayrı deneyimledikleri, göz ile ilgili (göz yaşarması, göz kızarması ve ağrı) problemi ve sindirim sistemi problemleri (kabızlık, gaz) yaşadıkları bulundu. İnternet bağımlılığı özellikle üniversite öğrencileri arasında önemli bir problem olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada bir meslek yüksekokulunda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin İnternet bağımlılıkları ile iyilik halleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya Meslek Yüksekokulunun çeşitli bölümlerinde okuyan yaşları 17 ile 21 arasında değişen 731 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplamak amacıyla "İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği" ve "İyilik Hali Değerlendirme Formu" kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde farklılıkları araştırırken tek yönlü varyans analizi ve değişkenler arası ilişki incelenirken korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin İnternet bağımlılık düzeylerinin kendilerini çeşitli açılardan kötü bulan öğrencilerin lehine anlamlı derecede farklılık gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Çalışma, genel tarama modelinde yapılmış betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu iki üniversitede öğrenim gören 142'i kadın, 211'i erkek olmak üzere toplam 353 beden eğitimi öğretmen adaylarından oluşmaktadır. Veriler, Yaşam Bağlılığı Ölçeği ve İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Yaşam bağlılığı sınıf düzeyi ve cinsiyet arasındaki ilişkiler bağımsız gruplar için t-testi, yaşam bağlılığı ile internet bağımlılığı arasındaki ilişki korelasyon analizi ile test edilmiştir. Çalışmada yaşam bağlılığı ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken, sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Ayrıca yaşam bağlılığı ile internet bağımlılığı arasında negatif doğrusal bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır. Teknolojinin insanlara sunduğu gelişmeler sonucunda medikal cihazlar sadece sağlık kurumları ve personeli tarafından değil, aynı zamanda bireylerin evlerinde kişisel olarak da kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Hem bireylerin evde kullandıkları basit medikal cihazlar hem de sağlık kurumlarında verilen hizmetler nedeni ile durmadan büyüyen sağlık verisi üretilmektedir. Son yıllarda nesnelerin interneti (IoT) kavramı akıllı sistemler için yeni bir eğilim olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, kişilere özgü sağlık verileri, ölçümleri yapıldığı medikal cihazlardan akıllı telefonlara ve cihazlara, bu cihazlardan da buluta aktarımının gerçekleştirilmesi için geliştirilen sağlık alanına özel bir nesnelerin interneti platformu anlatılmaktadır. Böylece, kişiye özel sağlık verileri hasta mahremiyeti sağlanarak kayıt altına alınacak, sorgulanabilecek ve belirlenen kurallara göre verilerdeki sapmalar doğrultusunda kişiye ve/veya sorumlu kişiye ve kurumlara uyarı hizmetlerinin verilmesi sağlanacaktır.
