The chapter concludes with the Lord declaring through Jeremiah that Hananiah would die within the year for his rebellion against God's word, which indeed comes to pass.<br><br>2. <b>Azur, the Father of Jaazaniah</b>: Another mention of Azur is found in <a href="/ezekiel/11.htm">Ezekiel 11:1</a>, where he is identified as the father of Jaazaniah. This Jaazaniah is one of the leaders of the people who are condemned by God for their wicked counsel and actions in Jerusalem. The Berean Standard Bible states: "Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the LORD that faces east, and there at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men. Among them I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people" (<a href="/ezekiel/11.htm">Ezekiel 11:1</a>).
