rno-"><p>近日,谷歌Deepmind公司继“阿尔法狗”之后再出神作。这次是在蛋白质3D结构预测的国际比赛中,名为“阿尔法折叠”的程序碾压对手,获得冠军,成功根据基因序列预测出蛋白质的3D结构。</p><p>说到这里,可能你还不知道这项成就有多大的意义。学过高中生物的想必都知道,蛋白质是一切生命活动的物质承担者。但如果需要蛋白质行使正确的生物功能,则需要它具有为正确的三级或四级结构。蛋白质的结构可以大体上概括为四个等级。一级结构为正确的蛋白序列,蛋白质组成基本单位氨基酸的排列组合。二级结构则是一些氨基酸组成的多肽主链上简单的螺旋和折叠。三级结构是多肽链的三维空间结构。四级结构是两条以上多肽链组成的结构复杂的蛋白质。</p><p></p><figure dataurl="https://ask.qcloudimg.com/http-save/developer-news/ij8oa5zjif.jpeg"></span></div></figure><p>柯洁对战阿尔法狗</p><p>不同于研究基因的序列,通常只需要在一维的水平,研究它的顺序。蛋白质的空间结构具有很大程度上的随意性,必须在三维水平研究。因此其复杂程度超乎想象,这也是一直以来基因研究取得很大进展,而蛋白研究一直停滞不前的原因。从某种角度上来说,蛋白质研究的意义更加重大,因为真正的生物功能是通过蛋白质来实现的。而蛋白质的功能是由结构来决定的,很多疾病如阿兹海默症等都与蛋白质结构有关,乃至生命的本质也是如此。因此,探究蛋白质的结构对人类来说是迫在眉睫的事情。蛋白质折叠非常神秘,真正理解它有助于帮助人类解开蛋白质本身的功能奥秘,解决很多世纪难题,有效抗击各种顽疾,影响整个21世纪生命科学各个领域的发展进程。不幸的是以目前的技术手段解决一个蛋白质结构的问题需要大量人力物力,其复杂程度远超人脑,因此给研究带来极大的不便。幸运的是人工智能的到来,为这项科学研究带来曙光。众所周知,人工智能的本质就是大量的计算,有了它就可以在极短的时间内迅速分析出人类所不能分析出的蛋白结构。</p><p></p><figure dataurl="https://ask.qcloudimg.com/http-save/developer-news/65rpylppeg.gif"></span></div></figure><p>蛋白质3D结构</p><p>此次,谷歌人工智能将“阿尔法狗”转型,以解决科学上最棘手的生物医疗问题,其目的也是希望技术造福人类。由此开发了可预测蛋白质折叠结构的“阿尔法折叠”,并以该项目参加了在墨西哥举办的全球蛋白质结构预测竞赛。该竞赛一年举办两次,被称为蛋白质折叠领域的奥运会。来自世界各地的研究小组参与其中。竞赛规则是根据氨基酸序列,即多肽链的一级结构来预测蛋白质的二级三级结构。氨基酸序列会提前发给参赛团队,其复杂的三维结构答案已通过复杂而昂贵的传统方法提前解出,但是并未公布。</p><p></p><figure
