those being mistreated as yourselves also being in <i>the</i> body. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span><i>Let</i> marriage <i>be</i> honorable in all, and the marriage bed undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. </p><p class="hdg">Christ's Unchanging Nature</p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><i>Let your</i> manner of life <i>be</i> without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said:</p><p class="indent1stline">“Never will I leave you,</p><p class="indent2"> never will I forsake you.”<span class="fn"><a href="#fna" title="Deuteronomy 31:6">a</a></span> </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>So we are confident to say:</p><p class="indent1stline">“<i>The</i> Lord <i>is</i> my helper, and I will not be afraid;</p><p class="indent2"> what shall man do to me?”<span class="fn"><a href="#fnb" title="Psalm 118:6">b</a></span> </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Remember those leading you, who spoke the word of God to you, of whom, considering the outcome of <i>their</i> way of life, you are to imitate the faith. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Jesus Christ <i>is</i> the same yesterday, and today, and to the ages. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Do not be carried away <i>by</i> various and strange teachings; for <i>it is</i> good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those being devoted were not profited. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>We have an altar from which those serving in the tabernacle have no authority to eat. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought for sin into the holy places by the high priest are burned outside the camp. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people by the own blood. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Therefore we should go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>For here we do not have an abiding city, but we are seeking for the coming <i>one</i>. </p><p class="hdg">Sacrifice, Obedience, and Prayer</p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Through Him then, we should offer <i>the</i> sacrifice of praise continually, everything to God, that is, <i>the</i> fruit of <i>the</i> lips confessing His name. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And do not be forgetful of the good, and of the sharing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Obey you those leading and be submissive—for they watch over your souls, as about to give account—so that they may do this with joy and not groaning, for this <i>is</i> unprofitable for you. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in all things. <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And more abundantly I exhort <i>you</i> to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly. </p><p class="hdg">Benediction and Farewell</p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Now <i>may</i> the God of peace, having brought out from <i>the</i> dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, by <i>the</i> blood of <i>the</i> eternal covenant, <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>equip you in everything good,<span class="fn"><a href="#fnc" title="BYZ and TR ‘in every good work’">c</a></span> in order to do His will, working in us<span class="fn"><a href="#fnd" title="BYZ and TR ‘you’">d</a></span> that which <i>is</i> well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom <i>be</i> the glory to the ages of the ages.
