All other #fosdem-* channels and the Matrix bridge will be available soon. </p> <p> As some of our previous channels on the FreeNode network have been taken over by the new staff, these channels are no longer affiliated with FOSDEM. The FOSDEM organisation is saddened by this act of hostility towards the community. </p> <p> We urge our users to leave these channels as soon as possible and move to the new ones on Libera.Chat. </p> <p> We would like to remind you that any channel using the FOSDEM name or anyone posing as FOSDEM staff on other IRC networks is not affiliated with the FOSDEM organisation. </p> </div> </li> <li class="news-item"> <span class="date"><a href="/2021/news/2021-02-11-videos-on-fosdem/">2021-02-11</a><span class="date-separator">聽禄聽</span></span> <h2>Videos on video.fosdem.org</h2> <div class="news-item-content"> <p> All talks have been recorded and they will be made available on <a href="https://video.fosdem.org/2021/">video.fosdem.org/2021</a> as soon as the presenter reviews their talk. </p> <p> For FOSDEM 2021, we make a mix of the original recording submitted by the presenter and the Q&A happening in the main room. To make sure that the result is up to our quality standards, we request that the original presenter reviews the video so the result contains no errors or mistakes. This can take a while. </p> <p> We expect that it will take some days to some weeks for all videos to become available at <a href="https://video.fosdem.org/2021/">video.fosdem.org/2021</a>. </p> <p> See our <a href="/2021/faq/#video-recordings">FAQ</a> and <a href="https://video.fosdem.org/2021/">video.fosdem.org/2021</a> for more information. </p> </div> </li> <li class="news-item"> <span class="date"><a href="/2021/news/2021-02-08-lpi-conference-rate-exam/">2021-02-08</a><span class="date-separator">聽禄聽</span></span> <h2>LPI conference rates for FOSDEM participants</h2> <div class="news-item-content"> <p> The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has fixed the conference rate exam registration, and it is now available for anyone who participated in FOSDEM and is interested in taking advantage of it. </p> <p> As in previous years, the Linux Professional Institute will again offer a discount to examination candidates at FOSDEM 2021. For a preview of how everything looks and works, go to the <a href="/2021/live/">virtual conference floor</a> and click on any of the links (they all work!). </p> <p> Talks and stands can be found on the <a href="/2021/schedule/">schedule</a> (look for the <a href="/2021/schedule/buildings/#s">S</a> building to find the stands). All of them will have several links to a live stream (called <i>Video only</i>), a live stream with the Q&A visible (called <i>Video with Q&A</i>) and a dedicated chatroom (called <i>Join the conversation!</i>). Stands will also have a link to visit their stand (called <i>Visit the stand</i>). Click on any of the links to see what is going on! </p> <p> Chatting and Q&A is done with <a href="/2021/practical/online/#q_and_a">Matrix</a> (allthough other networks are available) via <a href="https://chat.fosdem.org"><i>chat.fosdem.org</i></a>. Each talk is in a room, and each room maps to a virtual room on <a href="https://chat.fosdem.org"><i>chat.fosdem.org</i></a>, combining <a href="/2021/practical/online/#talks">video and Q&A</a>. </p> <p> We'll add a link to each room, but the virtual room name is the same as the room name minus the bit before the dot. So you can find the <i>M.misc</i> room at <a href="https://chat.fosdem.org/#/room/#misc:fosdem.org">chat.fosdem.org/#/room/#misc:fosdem.org</a>.
