He then returned to England to produce <a href="/wiki/Jerzy_Skolimowski" title="Jerzy Skolimowski">Jerzy Skolimowski</a>'s <i><a href="/wiki/The_Shout" title="The Shout">The Shout</a></i>, which won the Grand Prix de Jury at the <a href="/wiki/Cannes_Film_Festival" title="Cannes Film Festival">Cannes Film Festival</a>. </p><p>Thomas' films are all highly individual and his independence of spirit has paid off both artistically and commercially.
