</small> </div> <p>Όταν μιλάμε για την ποιότητα του αέρα, οι πρώτες χώρες που έρχονται στο μυαλό των ανθρώπων είναι η Κίνα και η Ινδία και γενικότερα η Ασία. Ακόμη και στο <a href='/home/el/'>έργο World Air Quality Index</a> , η Ασία ήταν πάντα, από την αρχή, η ισχυρή μας εστίαση (πιθανότατα επειδή εδώ βρίσκεται η έδρα μας!).</p> <p>Πριν από λίγα χρόνια, το 2012, αποφασίσαμε να επεκτείνουμε το πεδίο εφαρμογής μας για να καλύψουμε τις άλλες <a href='http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/continents.htm'>επτά ηπείρους</a> , ξεκινώντας από <a href='/map/australia/el/'>την Ωκεανία</a> και στη συνέχεια με <a href='/map/australia/el/'>την Ευρώπη</a> και <a href='/map/northamericas/el/'>τη Βόρεια Αμερική</a> , <a href='/map/southamericas/el/'>τη Νότια Αμερική</a> .</p> <p>Όμως, μια από τις επτά ηπείρους, δηλαδή <i>η Αφρική</i> , υστερούσε εκπληκτικά. Λάβαμε πολλές ερωτήσεις σχετικά με αυτήν την έλλειψη δεδομένων, και ένα από τα τελευταία ήταν από τον Said E. που έγραψε:</p> <blockquote> <p>Ευχαριστούμε που δημιουργήσατε τον ιστότοπο του έργου World Air Quality Index. Η άλλη έκπληξη είναι για την Κένυα, η οποία είναι η χώρα όπου βρίσκεται η έδρα <a href='http://unep.org'>του Περιβαλλοντικού Προγράμματος των Ηνωμένων Εθνών</a> (UNEP). Θα περίμενε κανείς ότι το UNEP θα αναλάβει την πρωτοβουλία να εγκαταστήσει έναν <a href='faq/2015-02-23/south-asia-real-time-air-quality-monitoring-project/el/'>σταθμό παρακολούθησης</a> στην ταράτσα του κτιρίου του, όπως ακριβώς κάνουν τώρα οι συμβουλευτικές υπηρεσίες των ΗΠΑ σε όλο τον κόσμο.</p> <p>Δεν παρέχουν όλες οι χώρες που αναφέρονται στην έκθεση του ΠΟΥ συνεχείς αναγνώσεις: για ορισμένες από αυτές, η παρακολούθηση είναι ένα προσωρινό έργο και τα δεδομένα είναι διαθέσιμα μόνο για περιορισμένο χρονικό διάστημα. Τέλος πάντων, μόλις λάβουμε τα δεδομένα από τις 4 νέες χώρες, θα ενημερώσουμε τον ιστότοπο του έργου World Air Quality Index.
