and immediately<MG3916> his feet<MG939> and his ankles<MG4974> were strengthened<MG4732>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And leaping<MG1814> up<MG1814>, he stood<MG2476> and <i>began</i> to walk<MG4043>; and he entered<MG1525> the temple<MG2413> with them, walking<MG4043> and leaping<MG242> and praising<MG134> God<MG2316>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And all<MG3956> the people<MG2992> saw<MG3708> him walking<MG4043> and praising<MG134> God<MG2316>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and they recognized<MG1921> him as being<MG1510> the very<MG846> one who used to sit<MG2521> at the Beautiful<MG5611> Gate<MG4439> of the temple<MG2413> <i>to beg</i> for charitable<MG1654> gifts<MG1654>, and they were filled<MG4092a> with wonder<MG2285> and amazement<MG1611> at what had happened<MG4819> to him. <p class="hdg">Peter’s Second Sermon</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>While he was clinging<MG2902> to Peter<MG4074> and John<MG2491>, all<MG3956> the people<MG2992> ran<MG4936> together<MG4936> to them at the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>portico<MG4745> named<MG2564> Solomon’s<MG4672>, completely<MG1569a> astonished<MG1569a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>But when Peter<MG4074> saw<MG3708> <i>this,</i> he replied<MG611> to the people<MG2992>, “Men<MG435> of Israel<MG2475a>, why<MG5101> are<MG2296> you amazed<MG2296> at this<MG3778>, or<MG2228> why<MG5101> are you staring<MG816> at us, as<MG5613> though<MG5613> by our own<MG2398> power<MG1411> or<MG2228> godliness<MG2150> we had made<MG4160> him walk<MG4043>? <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>The God<MG2316> of Abraham<MG11>, Isaac<MG2464>, and Jacob<MG2384>, the God<MG2316> of our fathers<MG3962>, has glorified<MG1392> His <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>servant<MG3816> Jesus<MG2424>, <i>the one</i> whom<MG3739> you handed<MG3860> over<MG3860> and disowned<MG720> in the presence<MG4383> of Pilate<MG4091>, when he had decided<MG2919> to release<MG630> <i>Him.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But you disowned<MG720> the Holy<MG40> and Righteous<MG1342> One<MG1342>, and asked<MG154> for a murderer<MG5406> to be granted<MG5483> to you, <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>but put<MG615> to<MG615> death<MG615> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>Prince<MG747> of life<MG2222>, whom<MG3739> God<MG2316> raised<MG1453> from the dead<MG3498>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span><i>a fact</i> to which<MG3739> we are witnesses<MG3144>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And on the basis<MG1909> of faith<MG4102> in His name<MG3686>, <i>it is</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>the name<MG3686> of Jesus which has strengthened<MG4732> this<MG3778> man whom<MG3739> you see<MG2334> and know<MG3609a>; and the faith<MG4102> which <i>comes</i> through<MG1223> Him has given<MG1325> him this<MG3778> perfect<MG3647> health<MG3647> in the presence<MG561> of you all<MG3956>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>“And now<MG3568>, brothers<MG80>, I know<MG3609a> that you acted<MG4238> in ignorance<MG52>, just<MG5618> as your rulers<MG758> also<MG2532> did. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>But the things which<MG3739> God<MG2316> previously<MG4293> announced<MG4293> by the mouths<MG4750> of all<MG3956> the prophets<MG4396>, that His <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>Christ<MG5547> would suffer<MG3958>, He has fulfilled<MG4137> in<MG3779> this<MG3779> way<MG3779>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Therefore<MG3767> repent<MG3340> and return<MG1994>, so<MG1519> that<MG1519> your sins<MG266> may be wiped<MG1813> away<MG1813>, in<MG3704> order<MG3704> that<MG3704> times<MG2540> of refreshing<MG403> may come<MG2064> from the presence<MG4383> of the Lord<MG2962>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>and that He may send<MG649> Jesus<MG2424>, the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>Christ<MG5547> appointed<MG4400> for you, <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>whom<MG3739> heaven<MG3772> must<MG1163> receive<MG1209> until<MG891> <i>the</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>period<MG5550> of restoration<MG605> of all<MG3956> things<MG3956>, about which<MG3739> God<MG2316> spoke<MG2980> by the mouths<MG4750> of His holy<MG40> prophets<MG4396> from ancient<MG165> times<MG165>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Moses<MG3475> said<MG3004>, ‘THE LORD<MG2962> GOD<MG2316> WILL RAISE<MG450> UP FOR YOU A PROPHET<MG4396> LIKE<MG5613> ME FROM YOUR COUNTRYMEN<MG80>;
