for the Mekong Delta Agricultural Museum held a meeting, listened to presentations from consulting units and selected the qualified options.</strong></p> <p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-68333" src="https://tckt.vn/english/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/24A11049-2.jpg" alt="" width="768" height="576" /></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Launched in early June 2024, the Competition for Planning and Design Ideas for the Mekong Delta Agricultural Museum was directed by the People’s Committee of Vinh Long province and the Vietnam Association of Architects, and co-organized by the Vinh Long Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Architecture Magazine – Vietnam Association of Architects to select the best option for investment in the construction of an Agricultural Museum in the Mekong Delta as a basis for implementing detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 and establishing an investment project for construction of the project.</span></p> <p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-68332" src="https://tckt.vn/english/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/24A11049-1.jpg" alt="" width="768" height="576" /></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, shared his expectation of investing in the construction of the project to become a highlight in Vinh Long in particular and the Mekong Delta in general, becoming a connecting point for Vinh Long’s tourist routes with neighboring regions. During his lifetime, Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet was very keen on building a museum in the Mekong Delta. Only now, with the help of the Vietnam Association of Architects, has the competition been organized, bringing the project closer to reality. Initially, with the competition options, the goal of building a museum has been approached. He believes that with today’s working session of the council, the best option will be selected for the Vinh Long Provincial Agricultural Museum.</span></p> <p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-68334" src="https://tckt.vn/english/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/24A11049-3.jpg" alt="" width="768" height="576" /></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vietnam has more than 160 museums at all levels, specialties, under various different ministries and branches, but no place has built an Agricultural Museum. The construction of the Agricultural Museum is an important step, especially in the context of the Mekong Delta playing an important role in the country’s economy with two main economic “pillars” being agriculture and aquaculture.</span></p> <p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-68335" src="https://tckt.vn/english/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/24A11049-4.jpg" alt="" width="768" height="576" /></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The meeting focused on listening to the presentation of the consulting unit and the judging council selecting options. The project must ensure that the museum will become an attractive public place, an architectural highlight, a destination for tourism, entertainment, learning, research, cultural and creative activities, etc. This place will not only be a place to preserve the value of agricultural cultural heritage but also honor farmers who have made important contributions to the development of the
