The <strong>4th International Media and Society Symposium</strong> will continue in 2024 under the theme of <strong>'Media of the Future'</strong>. Researchers who conduct applied and theoretical studies on this subject and practitioners who produce with digital technologies in all kinds of media are invited to the symposium to present their work. The symposium, which will be held for the fourth time this year, will be <strong>hybrid </strong>on <strong>8-9-10 May</strong>, and presentations can be made online or face-to-face.<br>The <strong>'Media of the Future' </strong>concept reflects a forward-looking scientific effort regarding the transformative trajectory of communication forms in the contemporary technological and social environment. The <strong>4th International Media and Society Symposium</strong> is open to all studies of emerging technologies, cultural dynamics, ethical concerns, and the complex relationship between media and democracy.<br>Exploring artificial intelligence, virtual, and augmented reality in emerging technologies is central to understanding how these innovations shape the future media landscape. These advances must be evaluated from a technical perspective regarding content creation, dissemination, and audience engagement. Cultural dynamics examine the symbiotic evolution of media and culture as an integral element. This involves distinguishing interactions between global and local cultural currents and their manifestations in media content. Examining evolving cultural narratives and their representation in the media forms a critical juncture within the overarching theme of the symposium.<br>Ethical concerns also come to the fore as necessary in the <strong>'Media of the Future'</strong> discourse. Research on this subject aims to create ethical frameworks that enable the conscious integration of emerging technologies into media practices. Similarly, media literacy and education are crucial in envisioning the <strong>'Media of the Future'</strong>. As technological developments leave traditional education paradigms behind, understanding and improving media literacy is necessary. Scholars should explore strategies to enhance critical thinking, digital literacy, and media education to equip individuals with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of the future media landscape.<br>Finally, it is possible to extend the concept's scope to the complex relationship between media and democracy. In an age where digital platforms and social media are ubiquitous, the impact of these environments on democratic processes must be articulated. The dissemination of information, citizen journalism, and the role of the media in shaping public opinion are integral components of this scientific research. In summary, the concept of <strong>'Media of the Future' </strong>and the <strong>4th International Media and Society Symposium </strong>represent a holistic and interdisciplinary approach and encourage scientific research into the evolving nature of media.<br><strong>The 4th International Media and Society Symposium</strong>, organized to create an interdisciplinary discussion platform that combines theory and practice within the scope of media studies, is open to paper applications from a wide range of fields, as well as from invited participants who are experts in their fields. The symposium, under the title of <strong>Media of the Future</strong>, covers research in the areas of art, design, aesthetics, sociology, philosophy, ethnography, anthropology, culture and media studies, documentary film, photography, information technology, education, communication studies and other social sciences related to culture and communication. It includes research on digital texts produced in all kinds of media. In addition to academic researchers, experts who work on the applications of digital technologies in creative processes, such as artists, architects, designers, digital game designers, and cinema and media professionals, are invited to share their current works, production processes, case studies, and their experiences in the field.
