The graduate student will have the opportunity to design, synthesize, and radiolabel pharmacophores (e.g., peptides, drug inhibitors, antibodies, antibody mimetics, etc.) to improve the diagnosis and treatment of solid and hematological malignancies. Our research involves the use of human and mouse models, patient-derived samples, and cutting-edge imaging technologies.</p><p class="text-align-justify"> </p><p class="text-align-justify">The Lau lab is a part of the Department of Integrative Oncology, a world-class interdisciplinary research unit at BC Cancer, and the Faculty of Medicine, UBC. The Lau lab has a strong interest in translational cancer research and experience with first-in-human clinical trials. The graduate student will work with and learn from chemists, radiochemists, molecular biologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians.
