The Scriptures provide numerous examples and teachings that illustrate the severe consequences of these sins.<br><br><b>Pride</b><br><br>Pride is often described in the Bible as an inflated sense of one's own worth or abilities, leading to a disregard for God and others. <a href="/proverbs/16-18.htm">Proverbs 16:18</a> warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." This verse encapsulates the inevitable downfall that follows prideful behavior. The Bible consistently portrays pride as a precursor to ruin, both spiritually and materially.<br><br>One of the most notable examples of pride leading to downfall is found in the account of King Nebuchadnezzar in the Book of Daniel.
