name="2"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-1.htm#aramaic"><b>1</b></a></span>And the children of Israel continued again to do evil before LORD JEHOVAH, and Ahor died <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH delivered them into the hand of Nabin, King of Canaan, who reigned in Khatsur, and the General of his army was Sisra, and he was dwelling in Kharsheth of the Gentiles <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>And the children of Israel cried out to LORD JEHOVAH, because he had nine hundred chariots of iron, and he was subjecting the children of Israel by force for twenty years<p> <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And the woman Debora, the Prophetess wife of Lapithor, also was judging Israel at that time <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And Debora was living under a palm tree between Ramtha and Bayth Eil on Mount Aphreim and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And she sent and she called Baraq, son of Abinam, from Raqem of Naphtali, and she said to him: “Has not LORD JEHOVAH God of Israel commanded you: ‘You shall go and you shall dwell in the Mountain of Tabor and you shall take with you ten thousand men from the sons of Naphtali and from the sons of Zabulun <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And they shall come with you to the valley of Qishon against Sisra the General of the army of Nabin and against his chariots and against his army and I shall deliver him into your hands?’” <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>Baraq said to her: “If you go with me, I go, and if you do not with me, I am not going” <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>She said to him: “Certainly I am going with you, however, Baraq, you shall not boast on the road that you are traveling, because LORD JEHOVAH shall deliver Sisra into the hands of a woman.” And Debora arose and she went with Baraq to Raqem <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And Baraq gathered Zebulun and Naphtali to Raqem and ten thousand men came up with him, also Debora went up with him<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And Khuber Qainan went out from Qain of the sons of Khubab, father in law of Moshe, and he pitched his tent at the oak which is in Tsainin, that is on the side of Raqem<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And they showed Sisra that Baraq son of Abinam went up to the mountain of Tabor <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And Sisra gathered all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him from Kharshath of the Gentiles and unto the River of Qishon <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And Debora said to Baraq: “Arise, because this is the day that LORD JEHOVAH shall deliver Sisra into your hands. Behold LORD JEHOVAH has gone out before you.” And Baraq came down from Mountain of Tabor and ten thousand men with him <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH defeated Sisra and all these his chariots and all his host by the mouth of the sword before Baraq, and Sisra came down from his chariot and fled on his feet <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And Baraq chased after his chariot and after his host unto Kharshath of the Gentiles, and all the host of Sisra fell by the mouth of the sword, and not a man escaped alive<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>And Sisra fled on foot and entered the tent of Anayl, the wife of Khubar the Qinite, because there was peace between Nabin King of Khatsur and Khubar the Qinite <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/4-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And Anayl came out to meet Sisra and she said to him: “Turn aside my Lord!
