which said, "come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter." <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>Immediately I was in an extasy: and I saw a throne placed in heaven, and one sitting on the throne. <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>he that sat, appear'd to the sight, like a jasper, and a sardine stone: and there was an arch like a rain-bow, round about the throne, which had the appearance of an emerald. <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty Elders sitting, cloathed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.<p> <A name="6"></a><p class="hdg">Worship of the Creator<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>out of the throne proceeded lightnings, and thundrings, and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and towards the throne, and round about the throne were four ANIMALS full of eyes before and behind. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>the first animal was like a lion, the second animal like a calf, the third animal appear'd like a man, and the fourth animal was like a flying eagle. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/4-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>the four animals had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within;
