Then inform<MH3045> her of all<MH3605> her abominations<MH8441>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>And you shall say<MH559>, ‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: “A city<MH5892b> shedding<MH8210> blood<MH1818> in her midst<MH8432>, so that her time<MH6256> is coming<MH935>; and <i>a city</i> that makes<MH6213a> idols<MH1544>, contrary<MH5921> to her <i>own good,</i> for defilement<MH2930>! <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>You have become<MH816> guilty<MH816> by <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>the blood<MH1818> which<MH834> you have shed<MH8210>, and you have become<MH2930> defiled<MH2930> by your idols<MH1544> which<MH834> you have made<MH6213a>. So you have brought<MH7126> your days<MH3117> closer<MH7126> and have come<MH935> to your years<MH8141>; therefore<MH5921, 3651> I have made<MH6213a> you a disgrace<MH2781> to the nations<MH1471>, and an object<MH7048> of<MH7048> mocking<MH7048> to all<MH3605> the lands<MH776>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Those who are near<MH7138> and those who are far<MH7350> from you will make<MH7046> fun<MH7046> of you, you of ill<MH2931> repute<MH8034>, full<MH7227a> of turmoil<MH4103>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>“Behold<MH2009>, the rulers<MH5387a> of Israel<MH3478>, each<MH376> according to his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>power<MH2220>, have been<MH1961> among you for the purpose<MH4616> of shedding<MH8210> blood<MH1818>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>They have treated<MH7043> father<MH1> and mother<MH517> with<MH7043> contempt<MH7043> among you. They have oppressed<MH6213a, 6233> the stranger<MH1616> in your midst<MH8432>; they have oppressed<MH3238> the orphan<MH3490> and the widow<MH490> among you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>You have despised<MH959> My holy<MH6944> things<MH6944> and profaned<MH2490c> My Sabbaths<MH7676>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Slanderous<MH7400> men<MH376> have been<MH1961> among you for the purpose<MH4616> of shedding<MH8210> blood<MH1818>, and among you they have eaten<MH398> at the mountain<MH2022> <i>shrines.</i> In your midst<MH8432> they have committed<MH6213a> outrageous<MH2154> sin<MH2154>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Among you <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>they have uncovered<MH1540> <i>their</i> fathers’<MH1> nakedness<MH6172>; among you they have abused<MH6031a> her who was unclean<MH2931> in her menstruation<MH5079>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And one<MH376> has committed<MH6213a> abomination<MH8441> with his neighbor’s<MH7453> wife<MH802>, another<MH376> has outrageously<MH2154> defiled<MH2930> his daughter-in-law<MH3618>, and another<MH376> among you has <i>sexually</i> abused<MH6031a> his sister<MH269>, his father’s<MH1> daughter<MH1323>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Among you they have taken<MH3947> bribes<MH7810> to shed<MH8210> blood<MH1818>; you have taken<MH3947> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>interest<MH5392, 8636>, you have injured<MH1214> your neighbors<MH7453> by oppression<MH6233>, and you have forgotten<MH7911> Me,” declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“Behold<MH2009>, then, I strike<MH5221> with My hand<MH3709> your profit<MH1215> which<MH834> you have made<MH6213a> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>the bloodshed<MH1818> which<MH834> is among<MH8432> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Can your heart<MH3820> endure<MH5975>, or<MH518> can your hands<MH3027> be strong<MH2388> for the days<MH3117> that I will deal<MH6213a> with you? I, the LORD<MH3068>, have spoken<MH1696> and will act<MH6213a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And I will scatter<MH6327a> you among the nations<MH1471> and disperse<MH2219> you among the lands<MH776>, and I will eliminate<MH8552> your uncleanness<MH2932a> from you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Then you will defile<MH2490c> yourself in the sight<MH5869> of the nations<MH1471>, and you will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>.”’” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And the word<MH1697> of the LORD<MH3068> came<MH1961> to me, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>“Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, the house<MH1004> of Israel<MH3478> has become<MH1961> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>waste<MH5509> metal<MH5509> to Me; all<MH3605> of them are bronze<MH5178>, tin<MH913>, iron<MH1270>, and lead<MH5777> in the smelting<MH3564a> furnace<MH3564a>; they are the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>waste<MH5509> metal<MH5509> of silver<MH3701>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651>, this<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: ‘Because<MH3282> all<MH3605> of you have become<MH1961> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>waste<MH5509> metal<MH5509>, therefore<MH3651>, behold<MH2009>, I am going to gather<MH6908> you into the midst<MH8432> of Jerusalem<MH3389>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>As they gather<MH6910> silver<MH3701>, bronze<MH5178>, iron<MH1270>, lead<MH5777>, and tin<MH913> into the smelting<MH3564a> furnace<MH3564a> to blow<MH5301> fire<MH784> on it in order to melt<MH5413> <i>it,</i> so<MH3651> I will gather<MH6908> <i>you</i> in My anger<MH639> and in My wrath<MH2534>, and I will place<MH5117> you <i>there</i> and melt<MH5413> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>And I will gather<MH3664> you and blow<MH5301> on you with the fire<MH784> of My wrath<MH5678>, and you will be melted<MH5413> in the midst<MH8432> of it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>As silver<MH3701> is melted<MH2046> in the furnace<MH3564a>, so<MH3651> you will be melted<MH5413> in the midst<MH8432> of it; and you will know<MH3045> that I, the LORD<MH3068>, have poured<MH8210> out<MH8210> My wrath<MH2534> on you.’” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>And the word<MH1697> of the LORD<MH3068> came<MH1961> to me, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>“Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, say<MH559> to her, ‘You are a land<MH776> that is not clean<MH2891> or rained<MH1652> on in the day<MH3117> of indignation<MH2195>.’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/22-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>There is a conspiracy<MH7195> of her prophets<MH5030> in her midst<MH8432> like a roaring<MH7580> lion<MH738> tearing<MH2963> the prey<MH2964>.
