The listed Sites are a trading name of Newsquest Media Group Limited, with registered company number 1676637 and office address at 1st Floor, Chartist Tower, Upper Dock Street, Newport, Wales NP20 1DW.</p><p>Your use of the Services is conditional upon your acceptance of these Terms, which include the Privacy Notice (www.newsquest.co.uk/privacy-policy-jobwebsites). Definitions</strong>:</p><p>1.1. “Agreement”: this agreement between us and you, incorporating these Terms.</p><p>1.2 “Advertisement”: any job listing, banner, button, mini-banner, micro-site, pop-up, display ad, sponsorship, or any other advertising format that we may publish on the Site from time to time.</p><p>1.3 “CV Database”: a database of Job Seekers’ CVs with a search engine enabling Clients to search the CV Database.</p><p>1.4 “Client”: an employer or employment agency who enters into an agreement with us to use the Services.</p><p>1.5 “CV”: Curriculum Vitae, document highlighting your professional and academic history uploaded by a Candidate on the Site.</p><p>1.6 “Data Law”: the UK General Data Protection Regulation; the Data Protection Act 2018; and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.</p><p>1.7 “Intellectual Property Rights” include copyright, database rights, trademarks (registered or unregistered) and rights in passing off, domain names and other intellectual property rights.</p><p>1.8 “Job Seeker”: an individual who enters into this Agreement with us to use the Site and the Services.</p><p>1.9 “Newsquest Media Group”: us and each of our holding companies and each subsidiary of ours or our holding companies from time to time (both “company “and “subsidiary” as defined in the Companies Act 2006).</p><p>1.10 "Services": the online recruitment services on our Site, including job or career-related Advertisements, promotions and career information, access to the Site, and the CV Database.</p><p>1.11 "Site": the job websites: nw1jobs.com, y1jobs.com, ne1jobs.com, se1jobs.com, sw1jobs.com, wm1jobs.com, w1jobs.com, em1jobs.com, ea1jobs.com, ox1jobs.com, s1jobs.com, including their software platform, functions and all content displayed.</p><p>1.12 “Terms “: these terms and conditions.</p><p>1.13 “We/us/our”: Newsquest Media Group Ltd.</p><p>1.14 “You/your”: a Job Seeker or any other persons browsing or using this Site.</p><p>1.15 Any words following the terms ‘including’, ‘include’, ‘in particular’, ‘for example’ or any similar expression shall be construed as illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the words, description phrase or term preceding those terms.</p><p>1.16 Unless the context otherwise requires, words in the singular shall include the plural and in the plural shall include the singular.</p><p><strong>2. What we do</strong></p><p>This Site is intended to connect you, the Job Seeker, with our Clients, employers or employment agencies seeking to recruit new employees. With this Site we can also provide you with career information. As a Job Seeker, you can create a profile and upload CV’s to your account via the Site user login. In the CV database, your uploaded details will be available to employers or employment agencies, so they can assess your fit for their employment opportunities. Furthermore, you can manage the content and documents required for applications via the Site, as well as search for job advertisements, set up job alerts and manage applications.</p><p>The Sites, including job postings, CV Database and other features, may be used only by individuals seeking employment and/or career information and by employers seeking employees.</p><p>We and our Clients will have access to data in the CVs uploaded by you. We will use it for the purpose of providing the Services and our Clients may use such information to assist you in finding employment with them or their own clients. This will include processing and storing that information and sharing or making it available to other parties for the services described</p><p>We give no guarantee that you will be offered a job. The decision to recruit a candidate solely lies with the employer. You should check regularly that your CV and other details are accurate and up-to-date so recruiters can determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate.</p><p>We may use third party sub-contractors to help us process your information as part of the recruitment process. To find out more about this read our Privacy Notice (www.newsquest.co.uk/privacy-policy-jobwebsites).</p><p>We may collect and aggregate anonymised data from the information supplied by you and your use of the Site to help us to understand our Site users as a group so that we can provide you with a better service.</p><p>Where you have provided requested contact details, you agree that we or any of our Clients may contact you by telephone, email, SMS/text message, Whatsapp, post or any other appropriate form of communication in connection with the delivery and administration of the Services. You may remove this consent at any time by closing your account.</p><p><strong>3. Data Protection</strong></p><p>We and our sub-contractors will use and process your personal information as necessary for the performance of this Agreement between us and in accordance with Data Law. Our use of your CV and other personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy (www.newsquest.co.uk/privacy-policy-jobwebsites).</p><p>Our Clients from the UK and around the world can access and use our CV Database. You acknowledge and agree that your CV and personal data may be accessed outside the UK and Economic European Area.</p><p><strong>4. Your use of the Site</strong></p><p>You are solely responsible for the information you submit to the Site. You will ensure that it is:</p><p>• true, accurate, up-to-date and not misleading;</p><p>• not offensive to the mind of a reasonable person;</p><p>• not defamatory or in contempt of court;</p><p>• not in breach of any third party’s rights of privacy, confidentiality or data protection;</p><p>• not in breach of any third party’s copyright or other intellectual property right.</p><p>• not otherwise in breach of any applicable legislation, regulations, relevant guidelines or codes of practice; and</p><p>• free from malware that may damage or interfere with any system or data.</p><p> </p><p>Where you are in breach of your obligations above or otherwise as we may reasonably consider necessary in connection with the delivery or administration of the Services, we reserve the right at any time to remove from the Site any information supplied by you, without being required to give any explanation.</p><p> </p><p>You may use this Site for lawful purposes only when seeking employment or other help with your career. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms.</p><p> </p><p><strong>5. Security and passwords</strong></p><p>You may be given a password to register and access the Services. We shall not be liable for your unauthorised or improper use or disclosure of your password. You are solely responsible for keeping it secure and confidential. You must tell us immediately if you believe that your password becomes known to someone else or if there is a risk it may be used in an unauthorised way.</p><p><strong>6. Services availability</strong></p><p>We will try to ensure that the Site and the Services are continuously available, but we will not be liable if for any reason our Site is unavailable at any time or for any period. We are not responsible or liable for your use of such links, products or services. We recommend that you review the privacy practices of these providers before sharing your data.</p><p><strong>9. Liability</strong></p><p>The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without (to the full extent permitted by law) any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its content. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us by you shall create any warranty that is not expressly made in this Agreement. Termination</strong></p><p>You may amend your registration and data, delete your CV or otherwise unsubscribe at any time within the account section of the Site. </p><p>Similarly, we may at our absolute discretion terminate your registration and deny you access to the Site or any part of it at any time without notice in our absolute discretion and without giving any explanation or notification.</p><p>If you unsubscribe or we terminate your registration, we will delete your CV and other personal data, except where retention is required to meet legal obligations, in which case we will keep it in a separate and secure archive for a period no longer than is appropriate to the purpose.</p><p> </p><p><strong>11. Changes to Terms</strong></p><p>These Terms may be changed by us at any time without notice. You will be deemed to accept the Terms (as amended) when you next use this site following any amendment.</p><p><strong>12. General</strong></p><p>This Agreement and the use of this Site are to be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The courts of England are to have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or about the use of this Site or any agreement made through this Site.
