One of these platforms was Journal of Kubbealti Academy that started to be published in 1972. In this study, the change of Turkish vocabulary and the discussions of language within the process of westernization were touched upon shortly; the issues that were published between 1974-1975 of Journal of Kubbealti Academy, which was one of the parties of language discussions and argued for 'living Turkish', were examined and the criticism of the thoughts about 'the research' of the language were identified. Geçmişte yaşanmış her şey, Türk tarihi, bugün rahatlıkla Türk dilinde görülmektedir. İşte dil, bir milletin tarihini, kültürünü, geleneklerini yansıtan yaşayan bir varlıktır. Çok geniş bir coğrafyaya yayılan Türkler, geçtikleri coğrafyalardan etkilenmiş ve aynı zamanda bu coğrafyaları da etkilemişlerdir. Bu karşılıklı etkileşimin Türkçeye de yansıdığı görülmektedir. Yıllar içinde Çince, Arapça, Farsça, Fransızca ve İngilizce gibi dillerden, Türk diline çeşitli kelimelerin girdiği bilinmektedir. Bu kelimelerin varlığı, bazı dilciler tarafından Türkçenin eksikliği, bazıları tarafından ise Türkçenin zenginliği olarak görülerek uzun yıllar sürecek tartışmaları başlatmıştır. Tanzimat Dönemi, bu tartışmaların yoğunlaşmaya başladığı yılları içermektedir. Pek çok sahada büyük çaplı ilk kırılmaların görüldüğü bu dönemde dil tercihleri, alfabe konusu, eğitim ve kültüre yansımalar da yoğun olarak tartışılmıştır. Neticede bu dönem, sonraki yıllarda alınacak kararların hazırlayıcısı olmuştur. Örneğin, Tanzimat Dönemi’ndeki alfabe ıslahına yönelik tartışmalar, Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nde alfabe değişikliğini beraberinde getirmiştir. Batılılaşma ekseninde ilerleyen tartışmaların dil gibi daha muhafazakâr bir alanı da içine alması, dönem şartları düşünüldüğünde ilgi çekmiştir. Dolayısıyla Tanzimat Dönemi’nde belli başlı sahalarda ıslah için Batı’daki gelişmelerden faydalanma düşüncesi öne çıkmıştır. Dönemin aydınları, içinde bulunulan medeniyetin terkedilmesi gerektiğini düşünmediklerinden çözüm olarak alfabeyi değiştirmekten ziyade onu ıslah etme yolunu tercih etmişlerdir. Zira Osmanlı Devleti’nin Avrupa’daki rakiplerine karşı başta bilim-teknik olmak üzere birçok alanda üstünlüğünü yitirmeye başlaması, dönemin aydın kadrosu tarafından alfabenin zorluğu sebebiyle okuma-yazma oranının düşüklüğüne bağlanmıştır. Kışanak’a göre hakikatler bilinmeden yüzleşme de gerçekleşemez ve dolayısıyla ister cezalandırıcı isterse de onarıcı olsun adalet sağlanamaz. Bu üç kavramdan ilki olmadan diğer adımların da atılamayacağından hareketle hakikate nasıl ulaşılacağı, barış süreçlerinin en önemli başlıklarından bir tanesi olduğu söylenebilir. Elbette Türkiye-Kürdistan örneğinde henüz barış sürecine geçilmemiş olması, gelinen noktada sadece barışa gitme umudu veren bir takım müzakerelerin başlamış olması, hakikatleri araştırma, yüzleşme ve adalet sağlama mekanizmalarının kurulması hakkında konuşmak için henüz çok erken olduğu hissi verebilir. Ancak hakikatlerin hangi esaslara göre araştırılması, ne gibi yöntemler kullanılması gerektiği gibi konuları tartışmak için hiç de erken değil. Zira hakikatlerin nasıl ortaya çıkarılacağı izlenecek yöntemler ile yakından ilişkilidir ve dünya deneyimlerinden biliyoruz ki her hakikatleri araştırma komisyonu illa da hakikatleri oldukları gibi ortaya çıkaramamıştır.
