And they were indignant at her.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua said, "Let her alone. Why are you troubling her? She has done a beautiful deed for me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"For the poor are always with you, and whenever you wish, you can do good for them, but I am not always with you."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"She has done what she could, and she has anticipated anointing my body for burial."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And amen, I say to you, that everywhere that this my gospel shall be preached in all the world, this thing that she has done shall also be spoken in her memory."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yehuda Skariota, one of the twelve, went to the Chief Priests to betray Yeshua to them,</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But when they heard, they rejoiced, and they promised they would give money to him and he sought an opportunity to betray him.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, in which the Jews slaughter the Passover lamb, his disciples were saying to him, "Where do you want us to go to prepare for you that you may eat the Passover?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he sent two of his disciples and said to them, "Go to the city and behold, you will meet a man among you, bearing a vessel of water. Follow him."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And in the place that he enters, say to the owner of the house, "Our Master says, 'Where is the house chamber, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' "</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And behold, he will show you a great upper room, laid out and prepared; there make ready for us."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And his disciples went out and they came to the city, and they found just as he told them, and they prepared the Passover.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And when it was evening he came with his twelve.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And as they reclined and ate, Yeshua said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you who eat with me will betray me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But they began to lose heart, and they were saying to him, each one, "Is it I?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he said to them, "One of the twelve who dips with me in the dish."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"The Son of Man goes just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whose hand The Son of Man is betrayed. It were better for that man if he had not been born."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And while they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and he blessed and he broke and he gave to them, and he said to them, "Take; this is my body."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he took the cup, and he gave thanks and he blessed, and he gave to them and they all drank from it.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to them, "This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed in exchange for the many."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink from the fruit of the vine again until the day in which I shall drink it anew in the Kingdom of God."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they sang praises, and they went out to Tur Zaytay.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua said to them, "All of you will be ashamed of me this night, for it is written: 'I shall smite The Shepherd, and his lambs will be scattered.' "</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But when I am risen, I shall go before you to Galilee."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Kaypha said to him, "If all of them will be subverted, yet I shall not."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua said to him, "Amen, I say to you that today, this night, before the rooster will crow two times, you will renounce me three times."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he was saying all the more, "If I am to be put to death with you, I shall not renounce you, my Lord!" And like him also, all of them* spoke.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they came to the place which is called Gethsemane*, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he took Kaypha and Yaqob and Yohannan with him, and he began to be saddened and languid.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to them, "My soul is saddened unto death. Stay here and watch."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he approached a little and he fell on the ground, and he prayed that if it were possible, the hour would pass from him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said, "Father*, my Father, you can do everything; let this cup pass from me, yet not my own will, but yours."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he came and found them while they were sleeping and he said to Kaypha, "Shimeon, are you sleeping? Were you not able to watch one hour?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The spirit is willing and ready, but the body is weak."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he went again and prayed, and he said the same words.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And returning, he came again and found them sleeping because their eyes were heavy, and they did not know what to say to him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he came the third time and he said to them, "Sleep now and take rest; the end has arrived; the hour has come; behold The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-42.htm"><b>42</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Arise, let us go; behold, he who betrays me is approaching."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-43.htm"><b>43</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And while he was speaking, Yehuda Skariota came, one of the twelve, and many men with swords and clubs from the presence of the Chief Priests and the Scribes and the Elders.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-44.htm"><b>44</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And the traitor who betrayed him had given them a sign and he said, "He whom I shall kiss is the one; seize him securely and bring him."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-45.htm"><b>45</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And immediately he approached and he said to him, "Rabbi,* Rabbi", and he kissed him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-46.htm"><b>46</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But those laid hands upon him and they seized him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-47.htm"><b>47</b></a></span><span class="spcl">One of those who were standing drew a sword and hit the servant of The High Priest and took off his ear.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-48.htm"><b>48</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua answered and said to them, "Have you gone out as against a band of robbers with swords and with clubs to seize me?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-49.htm"><b>49</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"I was with you every day when I taught in The Temple, and you did not seize me. But this has happened that the Scriptures may be fulfilled."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-50.htm"><b>50</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Then his disciples forsook him and they fled.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-51.htm"><b>51</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And one young man had come after him and was clothed with a cloth. He was naked, and they seized him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-52.htm"><b>52</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he left the cloth and fled naked.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-53.htm"><b>53</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They brought Yeshua to Qaiapha the High Priest, and all the Chief Priests and the Scribes and the Elders gathered to him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-54.htm"><b>54</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Shimeon was coming from a distance after him until within the courtyard of The High Priests, and he sat down with the servants and warmed himself near the fire.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-55.htm"><b>55</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But the Chief Priests and all their assembly were seeking testimony against Yeshua, that they might put him to death, and they were not able.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-56.htm"><b>56</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For many were testifying against him, but their testimony was not worthy.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-57.htm"><b>57</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But people rose up against him and they were testifying lies, and they said:</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-58.htm"><b>58</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"We have heard him say, 'I shall destroy this temple that is made with hands and in three days I shall build another that is not made with hands.'"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-59.htm"><b>59</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But likewise, neither was their testimony worthy.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-60.htm"><b>60</b></a></span><span class="spcl">The High Priest stood up in the center and asked Yeshua, and he said, "Do you not answer? Why are these testifying against you?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-61.htm"><b>61</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he was silent, and he did not answer him anything. And again, The High Priest asked him and said, "Are you The Messiah, The Son of The Blessed One?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-62.htm"><b>62</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But Yeshua said to him, "I AM THE LIVING GOD, and you shall behold The Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of Heaven."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-63.htm"><b>63</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But The High Priest ripped his tunic and he said, "Why now do we need witnesses?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/14-64.htm"><b>64</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Behold, you have heard the blasphemy from his own mouth. How does it appear to you?"
