During this workshop, we provided different perspectives on ground station infrastructures and operational services. This included the traditional way done by agencies, low-budget approaches driven by academia, new GEO-relay services for almost 24/7 access to LEO satellites, as well as massive data throughput solutions through optical links.</p> <p>This talk covered the design and operations of legacy institutional ground facilities, with a focus on ground stations, their characteristics and operational aspects. We tried to show the differences for other uses and commercial providers as well as to the New Space approaches.
