Les analyses convoquent nécessairement plusieurs strates de compréhension disciplinaire. Une des caractéristiques principales qui émerge des travaux à notre disposition tient à la paradoxalité des effets : nous sommes en présence d’objets simultanément créatifs et destructeurs. Dans l’approche psychanalytique, il manque, à notre connaissance, une prise en considération de la bidirectionnalité des effets : ce que le sujet met en œuvre dans le digital et, surtout, ce que ce dernier produit à l’inconscient du sujet. Objectifs Ce travail qui ouvre le débat « Sujet digital » proposé par la revue In Analysis, tente d’isoler les effets produits par l’hyperstimulation numérique chez le sujet normal pour en dégager une série de particularités inconscientes ; il vise également à démontrer l’intérêt du cadre conceptuel psychanalytique dans la compréhension des effets secondaires de la vie digitale. Dans ce cadre, nous souhaitons décrire en préambule le phénomène d’addiction ordinaire et sa relation avec le concept de traumatisme. Ceci nous amènera à décrypter le remaniement des limites par une excitation (perverse), une pollution et une extraction de données qui débordent les logiques classiques du fonctionnement psychique. Dernier point théorique à clarifier : l’écran bêta (Bion) et ses modifications face aux agglomérations sensorielles. Méthode Cette recherche théorique explore une série de travaux issus principalement de la psychanalyse, de la sociologie, de la psychosociologie, de l’épidémiologie, permettant la compréhension du concept psychanalytique de limite et des remaniements qu’elle paraît subir à l’âge du numérique. D’autres concepts indissociables sont définis et questionnés : traumatisme, perversion, écran bêta. Résultats Nos données théoriques et expérimentales suggèrent la présence d’un ensemble d’effets secondaires de la vie digitale qui touchent aux limites : la tendance à l’addiction ordinaire, l’augmentation des cas de dépression et d’anxiété dans le monde, l’augmentation des temps d’écran, etc. Dans une perspective psychanalytique, ces données suggèrent : la fragilisation des limites en cas d’excitation traumatique voire perverse ; la tendance à la régression et au repli narcissique ; l’échec de la transitionnalité ; la tendance à la constitution d’un écran bêta (fragilisation de la barrière de contact divisant le conscient et l’inconscient) en raison d’agglomérations sensorielles équivalentes d’éléments bêta (au sens bionien) ; le brouillage des écrans psychiques et des dosages hallucinatoires. Selon une approche psychosociologique, l’on constate la mise en avant d’une relation sujet-numérique perverse, volontairement architecturée par des entreprises visant la consommation illimitée et l’exploitation économique de données. Conclusions Les effets observés, discutés ici dans une analogie avec la crise environnementale, pourraient être intégrés dans le travail clinique et de recherche à l’intersection de l’approche psychanalytique et d’autres disciplines autorisant une meilleure compréhension de la complexité digitale. L’on propose également un engagement postmoderne des réflexions psychanalytiques qui intègre la pluralité des pouvoirs et des facteurs en jeu à l’ère digitale. Abstract Context The psychological and environmental effects of digital culture are increasingly challenging contemporary researchers and thinkers confronted with an unprecedented context. The analyses necessarily involve several layers of disciplinary understanding. One of the main characteristics that emerges from the work at our disposal is the paradox of the effects: we are in the presence of objects that are both creative and destructive. In the psychoanalytical approach, to this day, there is no consideration of the bidirectionality of effects: what the subject implements in the digital realm and, above all, what the latter produces in the subject\u0026amp;#39;s unconscious. Objectives This work, which opens the “Digital Subject” debate proposed by the journal In Analysis, attempts to isolate the effects produced by digital hyper-stimulation in the normal subject in order to identify a series of unconscious particularities; it also aims to demonstrate the interest of the psychoanalytical conceptual framework in understanding the side effects of digital life. In this context, we will first describe the phenomenon of ordinary addiction and its relationship with the concept of trauma. This will lead us to decipher the redesign of the psychic limits through (perverse) excitation, pollution, and data extraction that goes beyond the classical logic of psychic functioning. In the psychoanalytical approach, to this day, there is no consideration of the bidirectionality of effects: what the subject implements in the digital realm and, above all, what the latter produces in the subject's unconscious.\r\nObjectives\r\nThis work, which opens the “Digital Subject” debate proposed by the journal In Analysis, attempts to isolate the effects produced by digital hyper-stimulation in the normal subject in order to identify a series of unconscious particularities; it also aims to demonstrate the interest of the psychoanalytical conceptual framework in understanding the side effects of digital life. In this context, we will first describe the phenomenon of ordinary addiction and its relationship with the concept of trauma. This will lead us to decipher the redesign of the psychic limits through (perverse) excitation, pollution, and data extraction that goes beyond the classical logic of psychic functioning. The last theoretical point to be clarified concerns the beta screen (Bion) and its modifications when confronted with sensory agglomerations.\r\nMethod\r\nThis theoretical research explores a series of works mainly through psychoanalysis, sociology, psychosociology, and epidemiology, which allows for the understanding of the psychoanalytical concept of limit and the reworking that it seems to undergo in the digital age. Parler rationnellement des émotions n'est déjà pas facile en soi, mais parler de celles que ressent tout un chacun devant les écrans diffusant des images animées ajoute une couche de difficultés. La tradition des études esthétiques, en effet, conjuguée à l'atmosphère intellectuelle et aux paradigmes en vogue dans les sciences humaines et sociales d'un grand nombre de pays, ne facilite pas la tâche... La première partie de l'article concerne donc les raisons d'être de ces embûches et de ces réticences. La seconde partie, elle, traite de la question posée par le titre. Quoiqu'elle semble a priori un peu théorique, cette question se trouve au coeur des polémiques qui, au moins depuis Aristote, naissent de la diversité des réactions émotionnelles des spectateurs aux oeuvres, qu'il s'agisse de pièces de théâtre, de tableaux, de romans ou de films.
