Moreover the man Moses was well honored in the land of Egypt in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight I will go forth into the midst of Egypt; <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sits on his throne even to the first-born of the maidservant who sits behind the mill; and all the first-born of the animals. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And there shall be a great wailing throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall there be any like it any more. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>But of the children of Israel no one shall be harmed, not even a dog shall bark against man or animals; that you may know that the LORD distinguishes between the Egyptians and Israel. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down themselves to me, saying, Get out, both you and all the people that are with you; and after that I will go out. And Moses departed from the presence of Pharaoh in a great anger.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/exodus/11-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And the LORD said to Moses.
