wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:15%"></div> </div> <p>מיד עם תום סוכות, ביום שמיני עצרת, מתחילים להתפלל על הגשמים. בתפילת מוסף של שחרית מוסיפים פיוטי תחינה להורדת גשמים ובתפילת העמידה מוסיפים את הברכה: "משיב הרוח ומוריד הגשם".</p> <p>לאורך הדורות נכתבו מגוון פיוטי גשמים, שזכו גם לביצועים יפים בשירה. עבור יהודי אירופה הגשומה שבה היהודים לא עסקו בחלקאות הפכה התפילה יותר למנהג וסמל, ודווקא החזרה אל הארץ חידשה את התקווה העתיקה לגשמי ברכה על האדמה.</p> <p></p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">תפילת הגשם בביצוע מיוחד</h2> <p><a allowFullScreen="true"></iframe> <p></p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>יהודים מתפללים לגשם</strong></h2> <p>תפילת הגשם מבטאת את התקווה הגדולה למימוש ברכת התורה בספר דברים (פרק כח): "יִפְתַּח ה' לְךָ אֶת אוֹצָרוֹ הַטּוֹב אֶת הַשָּׁמַיִם לָתֵת מְטַר אַרְצְךָ בְּעִתּוֹ וּלְבָרֵךְ אֵת כָּל מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶךָ." ברכת הגשם מבטאת את המגע הישיר בין ברכת שמים למעשי האדם. בהתאם לכך, עצירת הגשמים מבטאת את הנתק הקשה שבין שמים וארץ. הקללה הגדולה ביותר של התורה היא "ועצר את השמים ולא יהיה מטר". הריקון של השמים מותיר את האדם נטוש ובודד וללא אוכל והזנה.</p> <p></p> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich class="wp-block-heading">פיוטי גשם מודרנים</h2> <p></p> <p>חיי היהודים בארצות אירופה המשופעות במים הנציחו את נוסח תפילת הגשם כחלק מריטואל חג שמיני עצרת אך הגשם חדל לתאר את דופק החיים שלהם. "תפילת הגשם" ריגשה בחגיגיותה, בפיוטיה ובהיותה סימן לסיום חגי תשרי, אך הגשם חדל להיות המסמל את קשרי שמים וארץ. יהודים בחו"ל אמרו "מוריד הגשם" באותה כוונה שבה אמרו "המחזיר שכינתו לציון" – כצפצוף הזרזיר.</p> <p>השיבה לארץ הולידה מחדש את תפילות הגשם, משוררים וזמרים רבים חיברו שירים נפלאים המבטאים את הכמיהה לגשם, את ההשתוקקות אליו.  הכמיהה לגשם מסמלת גם בשירה העברית, הרבה יותר מרצון להזנה גשמית,
