Blessed is He That cometh in the name of the Lord!<p> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the Highest!"<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And He entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and, having looked around on all things, the hour being late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.<p> <A name="13"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Curses the Fig Tree<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../matthew/21.htm#18">Matthew 21:18&#8211;22</a>; <a href ="../mark/11.htm#20">Mark 11:20&#8211;25</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>And on the morrow, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And, seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, He came, if perhaps He might find something thereon. And, having come to it, He found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And, answering, He said to it, <FR>"May no one eat fruit from you any more forever!"<Fr> And His disciples heard it.<p> <A name="16"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Cleanses the Temple<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../matthew/21.htm#12">Matthew 21:12&#8211;17</a>; <a href ="../luke/19.htm#45">Luke 19:45&#8211;48</a>; <a href ="../john/2.htm#12">John 2:12&#8211;25</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And they come to Jerusalem. And, entering into the temple, He began to cast out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold doves; <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>and He was not permitting that any one should carry a vessel through the temple. <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And He was teaching, and said to them, <FR>"Has it not been written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations;' but ye have made it a den of robbers!"<Fr> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>And the high priests and scribes heard it, and were seeking how they might destroy Him; for they were fearing Him, for all the multitude was astonished at His teaching.<p> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And, whenever it became late, they went forth out of the city.<p> <A name="21"></a><p class="hdg">The Withered Fig Tree<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../matthew/21.htm#18">Matthew 21:18&#8211;22</a>; <a href ="../mark/11.htm#12">Mark 11:12&#8211;14</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And, passing by the next morning, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>And Peter, calling to remembrance, says to Him, "Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which Thou didst curse has withered away!" <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>And Jesus, answering, saith to them, <FR>"Have <i>the</i> faith of God.<Fr> <A name="24"></a><span class="red"><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><FR>Verily I say to you, whosoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says comes to pass; he shall have it.<Fr> <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><FR>Therefore, I say to you, all things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them.<Fr> <A name=""></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><FR>And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any; that your Father also Who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses."<Fr> <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-25.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><i>OMITTED TEXT.</i><p> <A name="28"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus&#8217; Authority Challenged<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../matthew/21.htm#23">Matthew 21:23&#8211;27</a>; <a href ="../luke/20.htm">Luke 20:1&#8211;8</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>And they come again into Jerusalem. And, as He was walking about in the temple, the high priests and the scribes and the elders come to Him; <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>and said to Him, "By what authority art Thou doing these things! Or who gave Thee this authority to do these things!" <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>And Jesus said to them, <FR>"I will ask you one thing; and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.<Fr> <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><FR>The immersion of John, was it from Heaven, or from men? Answer Me."<Fr> <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>And they reasoned with themselves, saying, <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>"If we say, 'From Heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did ye not believe him!' But, should we say, 'From men,'"?they feared the people; for all held John to be a prophet indeed. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/11-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>And, answering, they say to Jesus, "We do not know."
