Gaza governorate, which was cut off for 80 days. WFP significantly scaled up its assistance in this period, but continued access is critical. </p></div></div><div class="card--bordered campaign__overview card"><div class="campaign__overview-body card-body"><h2 class="heading--2 campaign__overview-title">Overview</h2><p class="campaign__overview-lead">Shared meals will provide hot meals, ready-to-eat food, monthly food baskets, cash support and nutrition supplements to families rebuilding their lives in Palestine. </p><p class="dimmed-text mb-0 campaign__details">15 months of war deprived people in Gaza of safe access to food, water, shelter and education. Over two million people are now fully dependent on food assistance. Many of those have also lost their homes and income. The long-awaited ceasefire gives families a chance to rebuild their lives. The UN World Food Programme is committed to supporting families and is aiming to reach one million people a month in Gaza. Other humanitarian partners plan to reach the other one million. With greater access across the country, WFP is able to bring many more truck convoys in with essential food and aid supplies. Since the ceasefire, WFP can offer people in Gaza three meals a day. This includes hot meals — also for people on the move — and ready-to-eat meals for families in shelters. The new supplies from the truck convoys has enabled WFP to get bakeries up and running again, which is vital as bread is a staple food in Palestine. </p></div></div><div class="slick-slider
