Homer Trussell traced his forebears to 17th Century <a href="/wiki/Colonial_New_England" class="mw-redirect" title="Colonial New England">colonial New England</a>; a great-great uncle had fought at the <a href="/wiki/Battle_of_Bunker_Hill" title="Battle of Bunker Hill">Battle of Bunker Hill</a> as a New Hampshire <a href="/wiki/Militiaman" class="mw-redirect" title="Militiaman">militiaman</a>.
