Se georreferenciaron 391 árboles que se tradujeron en el mismo número de accesiones de la especie para realizar una caracterización ambiental; se consideraron ocho variables climáticas interpoladas, además de nueve ambientales. Con esta información se utilizó el modelo MaxEnt para categorizar de manera probabilística su distribución potencial. El área de estudio se ubicó al oeste de la Sierra de Quila. La validación del modelo se determinó con la técnica Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) aplicada en modelos de distribución basados en algoritmos de solo presencia. El objetivo de este trabajo fue desarrollar ecuaciones dinámicas de índice de sitio derivadas, mediante el método de Diferencias Algebraicas Generalizadas (GADA), para cuatro especies de pino en la Sierra Norte del estado de Oaxaca, México. Para el ajuste de las ecuaciones se utilizaron datos de análisis de tronco de árboles de Pinus oaxacana, P. douglasiana, P. patula y P. pseudostrobus. Los árboles se seleccionaron en rodales mixtos e irregulares, intentando cubrir las diferentes calidades de estación presentes en las áreas sujetas a manejo forestal en los bosques de la Unidad de Manejo Forestal Regional 2001. Los ajustes se realizaron con el método iterativo y una estructura de error autoregresiva de tiempo continuo de segundo orden (CAR2), para corregir la autocorrelación del término del error. En este trabajo se modeló la distribución potencial actual y bajo escenarios de cambio climático de cuatro especies de pinos piñoneros. Para ello, se utilizaron coberturas bioclimáticas y datos de presencia de los taxones considerados, como variables predictoras. Los resultados sugieren una buena predicción de los patrones de distribución geográfica (AUC&gt; 0.9 en todos los casos). La distribución potencial alta generada con el modelo GFDL-CM3, para el horizonte 2049-2065 escenarios RCP 4.5 tuvo modificaciones especificas por taxon en su superficie. Blanco</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">En este trabajo se evaluó la capacidad del modelo FORECAST para proyectar a largo plazo el crecimiento de los árboles de dos ecosistemas diferentes: plantaciones de Pseudotsuga menziesii en la Isla de Vancouver (British Columbia, Canadá) y Pinus caribaea del occidente de Cuba (Pinar del Río). FORECAST es un modelo ecosistémico de manejo forestal diseñado para representar una gran variedad de opciones de manejo y su efecto en la productividad y dinámica del rodal. El modelo es de tipo híbrido y utiliza datos regionales de crecimiento y producción para calcular tasas de los procesos ecosistémicos clave que determinan la productividad y uso de los recursos disponibles por las especies vegetales presentes en la simulación. El modelo se evaluó utilizando datos regionales: datos de parcelas control en Canadá y en el caso de Cuba fueron empleados datos de plantaciones de Pinar del Río de tres calidades de sitio diferentes. Las predicciones del modelo fueron comparadas con las mediciones de campo de: altura, diámetro, densidad del rodal, biomasa aérea y tasas de caída de hojarasca. En ambos casos el modelo captó de forma aceptable las tendencias de crecimiento generales y las respuestas a los tratamientos simulados en ambos ecosistemas, produciendo predicciones dentro de los rangos observados para cada variable estudiada. Therefore, in this study, topoclimatic models were created and spatially represented to explain the spatial and temporal variation of monthly mean temperature and precipitation, as a function of variability and singularity of the physiographic characteristics of the Bío Bío and La Araucanía Regions. The physiographic factors considered were latitude, longitude, altitude, aspect and distance to coastline. To elaborate equations, data from thermopluviometric stations of the study area were compiled and systematized. These stations were standardized to a common reference system in order to locate them in space and obtain the value of physiographic factors for each station. With this information, the equations were calculated using a stepwise (backward) regression procedure, with a statistical significance of 95%. The regression equations obtained for mean monthly and annual temperature and precipitation were all significant (P ≤ 0.05) and had R 2 > 0.7. These equations were applied to the rest of the study area in raster format using a GIS, which yields a spatially continuous cartography.
