<t><p class="indent1">And it is the time<MH6256> of Jacob’s<MH3290> distress<MH6869a>, <t><p class="indent1">Yet he will be saved<MH3467> from it. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>‘It shall come<MH1961> about<MH1961> on that day<MH3117>,’ declares<MH5002> the LORD<MH3068> of armies<MH6635>, ‘that I will break<MH7665> his yoke<MH5923> from <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>their necks<MH6677> and will tear<MH5423> to<MH5423> pieces<MH5423> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>their restraints<MH4147>; and strangers<MH2114a> will no<MH3808> longer<MH5750> make<MH5647> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>them their slaves<MH5647>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>But they shall serve<MH5647> the LORD<MH3068> their God<MH430> and David<MH1732> their king<MH4428>, whom<MH834> I will raise<MH6965> up<MH6965> for them. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>‘And do not fear<MH3372a>, Jacob<MH3290> My servant<MH5650>,’ declares<MH5002> the LORD<MH3068>, <t><p class="indent1">‘And do not be dismayed<MH2865>, Israel<MH3478>; <t><p class="indent1">For behold<MH2009>, I am going to save<MH3467> you from far<MH7350> away<MH7350>, <t><p class="indent1">And your <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>descendants<MH2233> from the land<MH776> of their captivity<MH7628b>. <t><p class="indent1">And Jacob<MH3290> will return<MH7725> and be<MH8252> at<MH8252> peace<MH8252>, without<MH7599> anxiety<MH7599>, <t><p class="indent1">And no<MH369> one<MH369> will make<MH2729> him afraid<MH2729>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>‘For I am with you,’ declares<MH5002> the LORD<MH3068>, ‘to save<MH3467> you; <t><p class="indent1">For I will completely<MH3617> destroy<MH6213a, 3617> all<MH3605> the nations<MH1471> where<MH834, 8033> I have scattered<MH6327a> you, <t><p class="indent1">Only<MH389> I will not destroy<MH6213a, 3617> you completely<MH3617>. <t><p class="indent1">But I will discipline<MH3256> you fairly<MH4941> <t><p class="indent1">And will by<MH5352> no<MH3808> means<MH5352> leave<MH5352> you unpunished<MH5352>.’ <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“For this<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">‘Your broken<MH4347> <i>limb</i> is irreparable<MH605>, <t><p class="indent1">And your wound<MH4347> is incurable<MH2470a>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>‘There<MH369> is<MH369> no<MH369> one<MH369> to plead<MH1777> your cause<MH1779>; <t><p class="indent1"><i>No</i> healing<MH7499> for <i>your</i> sore<MH4205>, <t><p class="indent1">No<MH369> recovery<MH8585b> for you. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>‘All<MH3605> your lovers<MH157> have forgotten<MH7911> you, <t><p class="indent1">They do not seek<MH1875> you; <t><p class="indent1">For I have wounded<MH5221> you with the wound<MH4347> of an enemy<MH340>, <t><p class="indent1">With the punishment<MH4148> of a cruel<MH394> one<MH394>, <t><p class="indent1">Because<MH5921> your wrongdoing<MH5771> is great<MH7230>, <t><p class="indent1"><i>And</i> your sins<MH2403b> are<MH6105a> numerous<MH6105a>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>‘Why<MH4100> do you cry<MH2199> out<MH2199> over<MH5921> your injury<MH7667>? <t><p class="indent1">Your pain<MH4341> is incurable<MH605>. <t><p class="indent1">Because<MH5921> your wrongdoing<MH5771> is great<MH7230> <t><p class="indent1"><i>And</i> your sins<MH2403b> are<MH6105a> numerous<MH6105a>, <t><p class="indent1">I have done<MH6213a> these<MH428> things<MH428> to you. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>‘Therefore<MH3651> all<MH3605> who devour<MH398> you will be devoured<MH398>; <t><p class="indent1">And all<MH3605> your adversaries<MH6862c>, every<MH3605> one<MH3605> of them, will go<MH1980> into captivity<MH7628b>; <t><p class="indent1">And those who plunder<MH8155> you will become<MH1961> plunder<MH4933>, <t><p class="indent1">And all<MH3605> who plunder<MH962> you I will turn<MH5414> into plunder<MH957>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>‘For I will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>restore<MH5927> you to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>health<MH724> <t><p class="indent1">And I will heal<MH7495> you of your wounds<MH4347>,’ declares<MH5002> the LORD<MH3068>, <t><p class="indent1">‘Because<MH3588> they have called<MH7121> you an outcast<MH5080>, saying: <p class="indent1stline">“It is Zion<MH6726>; no<MH369> one<MH369> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>cares<MH1875> for her.”’ <p class="hdg">Restoration of Jacob</p><poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>“This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">‘Behold<MH2009>, I will restore<MH7725> the fortunes<MH7622> of the tents<MH168> of Jacob<MH3290> <t><p class="indent1">And have<MH7355> compassion<MH7355> on<MH7355> his dwellings<MH4908>; <t><p class="indent1">And the city<MH5892b> will be rebuilt<MH1129> on its ruins<MH8510>, <t><p class="indent1">And the palace<MH759> will stand<MH3427> on its rightful<MH4941> place<MH4941>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/jeremiah/30-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>‘From them will come<MH3318> a song<MH8426> of<MH8426> thanksgiving<MH8426> <t><p class="indent1">And the voices<MH6963> of those who <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>celebrate<MH7832>;
