The blend of unnerving exploration and frantic action ensures the game is captivating throughout, whilst the immersive interactions with the environment, the thrilling set pieces, and the constant sense of danger ensure that it captures the spirit of the Aliens franchise perfectly. It was just so disappointing that the visuals took such a hit to make it playable on the Meta Quest 3, and believe me, it’s noticeable. While the remasters don’t overhaul every aspect of each title, they do more than enough to ensure the source material stands the test of time and remains entertaining over twenty-years on.
