And there are many other things which they had received to keep: washings of cups and pots and copper vessels and of beds.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And the Scribes and Pharisees asked him, "Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the Elders, but eat bread without having washed their hands?"*</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he said to them, "Isaiah the Prophet prophesied beautifully of you phonies, just as it is written: 'This people honors* me with its lips, but their heart is very far from Me.'</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><span class="spcl">'And in vain they pay reverence to me as they teach doctrines of commandments of the sons of men.'</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"You forsake the commandments of God and you keep the traditions of the sons of men: washings of cups and pots and many such things like these."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them, "Well you reject the commandment of God that you may establish* your traditions."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother", and "Whoever reviles* father and mother shall die the death."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But you say, "If a man shall say to his father or to his mother, 'My offering is anything that you shall gain from me.'</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Then you do not allow him to do anything for his father or his mother.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And you reject the word of God for the traditions that you deliver, and many things like these you do."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua called to all the crowds, and he said to them, "Hear me all of you and understand."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"There is nothing outside of a man that enters into him that can defile him; but the thing that proceeds from him, that is what defiles the man."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Whoever has an ear to hear, let him hear."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But when Yeshua entered the house from the crowds, his disciples asked him about that parable.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them, "Are you also stupid? Do you not know that nothing entering from outside a man can defile him?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Because it does not enter his heart, but his belly, and is discharged by excretion, which purifies all foods."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But the thing that proceeds from a man, that defiles the man."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"For from within the heart of the children of men proceed evil ideas, adultery, fornication, theft, murder."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"Greed, wickedness, deceit, harlotry, an evil eye, blasphemy, boasting, senselessness."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"All these evils proceed from within and defile a man."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua arose from there and came to the coast of Tyre and of Sidon, and he entered a certain house and he did not want anyone to know him and he could not be hidden.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For immediately a certain woman heard about him, whose daughter had a foul spirit, and she came falling before his feet.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But she was a pagan woman from Phoenicia of Syria, and she was begging him to cast out the demon from her daughter.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But she answered and said to him, "Yes, my lord, but even the dogs from under the table eat the children's crumbs."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua said to her, "Go; because of this saying the demon has gone out from your daughter."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And she went to her house and found her daughter lying in bed, and the demon had been cast out of her.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua again went out from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, and he came to the Sea of Galilee at the border of The Ten Cities.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they brought him a certain deaf man who was dumb and they begged him to lay hands upon him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he took him aside from the crowd alone and put his fingers in his ears and spat and he touched his tongue.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he gazed into Heaven and he groaned and he said to him, "Be opened*."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And at that moment his ears were opened and a bond of his tongue was released and he spoke distinctly.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he warned them not to tell anyone, and as much as he warned them, they all the more proclaimed it.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/7-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they were greatly astonished, and they were saying, "He has done everything beautifully; he has made the deaf to hear and him who was mute to speak."</span><p></div></div><div id="botbox"><div class="padbot"><div align="center"><a href="//www.lulu.com/shop/rev-david-bauscher/the-original-aramaic-new-testament-in-plain-english-with-psalms-proverbs-8th-edition-with-notes/hardcover/product-21273790.html">The Original Aramaic New Testament in Plain English- with Psalms & Proverbs<br>Copyright &copy; 2007; 8th edition Copyright &copy; 2013<br>All rights reserved.
