Translation has acquired several functions; highlighting the role of the translator between the narratives of the colonizer and that of the colonized. Until 2000, seventy percent of the world's population had a “colonial” past, either as a colonizer or as a colonized. (Etemad, 258), which suggests that more than seventy percent of the world's population have been affected, and perhaps still are, through the prism of translation. The Conference will attempt to understand how translation was put at the service of the colonial project? What translation approaches have been adopted by translators and interpreters? En effet, en trois ans, treize élections présidentielles se sont déroulées dans onze pays et cinq devraient avoir lieu d’ici la fin de l’année, dont certaines très attendues (Mexique, Venezuela, Paraguay). Trente ans après l’ère des dictatures, la généralisation de l’exercice du droit de vote ainsi que la tenue régulière d’élections libres et compétitives dans la plupart des pays de la région semblent donc corroborer l’optimisme de la thèse de Francés Hagopian et Scott Mainwaring sur les transitions démocratiques latino-américaines et l’ancrage de la démocratie. Elle mène pour ses créations et en parallèle de celles-ci, une recherche théorique sur les principes spécifiques du cirque qui l’amène à inventer le néologisme : circographie qui désigne l’écriture spécifique, la mise en scène d’un spectacle de cirque. En effet, les termes de mise en scène et de chorégraphie nomment pour le théâtre et la danse, la spécificité des champs auxquels ils se réfèrent. Le cirque en étant orphelin, utilise parfois mise en piste, qui contrarie les souhaits d’émancipation de la circographe. L’emploi du mot circographie propose ainsi de nommer ce champ de recherche à part entière.
