The new rate is the minimum wage per hour. As of 2024 there will no longer be a monthly, weekly or daily minimum wage.</p></div> <h2>Hourly minimum wage for all employees</h2> <p>As of 1 January 2024, employers will be required by law to pay workers at least the hourly minimum wage. The hourly minimum wage is the same for all employees aged 21 years and older. Employees younger than 21 years will receive an hourly minimum wage for young people that is based on the mandatory hourly minimum, as in 2023.</p><h2>All employers pay the same minimum wage</h2> <p>When the mandatory hourly minimum wage takes effect on 1 January 2024, it will apply for all workers employed by all employers.</p><h2>Hourly minimum wage amounts in 2024</h2> <p>The hourly minimum wage is indexed twice annually, on 1 January and 1 July.
