<p>Das offene Ratsinformationssystem „Politik Bei Uns“ stellt Informationen und Vorgänge aus Rat und Verwaltung nutzerfreundlich dar, damit Bürgerinnen und Bürger politische Entscheidungen nachvollziehen können und frühzeitig mitbestimmen können. Unser Projekt stellt als eine Art Datenmarktplatz Rats- und Verwaltungsdaten Drittentwicklern zur Verfügung, so dass sie ohne großen Aufwand weitere Applikationen bauen können. Neben der Politik, der Zivilgesellschaft und den Journalisten profitiert auch die Wissenschaft von strukturierten und somit analysierbaren Daten.</p> <p>Wer Politik mitgestalten möchte, muss gut informiert ist. All die Informationen über politische Entscheidungen in einer Kommune liegen in sogenannten Ratsinformationssystemen (oder kurz: RIS) und ein ganz großer Teil dieser Daten ist seit jeher öffentlich. Das Problem ist nur, dass die Ratsinformationssysteme Arbeitswerkzeuge für die Ratsmitglieder und die Verwaltung sind. Der öffentliche Teil für Bürgerinnen und Bürger ist damit nicht der Fokus. Genau das möchten wir ändern.</p> <p>Die Menschen in einer Stadt denken nicht in Gremien und Antragstypen, sondern in geographischen Orten und Stichworten. Zum Beispiel hat man eher die ungefähre Adresse und den Namen eines Spielplatzes im Kopf, nicht so sehr das zuständige Amt und die Legislaturperiode, in der der Spielplatz gebaut wurde. Um die Darstellung der politischen Entscheidungen in einer Kommune für Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu optimieren, braucht man die Daten in einer strukturierten Form. Zu diesem Zweck haben wir den Industriestandard OParl entwickelt, welcher von der Mehrheit der Ratsinformationssystem-Hersteller inzwischen auch angeboten wird.</p> <p>Mit den Daten im OParl-Format kann man jetzt ganz neue Darstellungen bauen.
