Research from the University of Manchester has established a novel method for quantifying these effects and demonstrated the application of this approach for predicting meaningful biological effects of lighting in real world applications. As a result, the new metric has been adopted as a new international lighting standard, forms the basis of a new set of scientific consensus guidelines for healthy lighting and is being used by the
