Debian mirror to download Debian images, instead of having to use one of the few, slow, overloaded mirrors that offer the images as direct HTTP or FTP downloads. See &lt;<a href="http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/">http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/</a>&gt; for details. <p> Jigsaw Download (for short jigdo) is a scheme developed primarily to make it easy to distribute huge filesystem images (e.g. CD (ISO9660) or DVD (UDF) images) over the internet, but it could also be used for other data which is awkward to handle due to its size, like audio/video files or large software packages. <p> jigdo tries to ensure that the large file is downloaded in small parts which can be stored on different servers. People who want to download the image do so by telling the jigdo download tool to process one &quot;.jigdo&quot; file; using it, jigdo downloads the parts and reassembles the image. jigdo-file is used to prepare the files for download. </div> <!-- end pdesc --> <div id="ptags"><p> <a href="https://debtags.debian.org/search/?wl=&q=jigdo-file&qf=default">Tags</a>: User Interface: <a href="/about/debtags#interface::commandline">Command Line</a>, <a href="/about/debtags#interface::graphical">Graphical User Interface</a>, interface::x11, protocol::ftp, Network Protocol: <a href="/about/debtags#protocol::http">HTTP</a>, Role: <a href="/about/debtags#role::program">Program</a>, Scope: scope::utility, use::downloading, Supports Format: <a href="/about/debtags#works-with-format::iso9660">ISO 9660 CD Filesystem</a>, Works with: works-with::archive, x11::application </p> </div> <!-- end ptags --> </div> <!-- pdesctab --> <div id="pdeps"> <h2>Other Packages Related to jigdo-file</h2> <table id="pdeplegend" class="visual" summary="legend"><tr> <td><ul class="uldep"><li>depends</li></ul></td> <td><ul class="ulrec"><li>recommends</li></ul></td> <td><ul class="ulsug"><li>suggests</li></ul></td> <td><ul class="ulenh"><li>enhances</li></ul></td> </tr></table> <ul class="uldep"> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libbz2-1.0">libbz2-1.0</a> </dt> <dd lang="en">high-quality block-sorting file compressor library - runtime </dd> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libc6">libc6</a> (>= 2.34) </dt> <dd lang="en">GNU C Library: Shared libraries <br>also a virtual package provided by <span id="js_libc6" class="p_js_elem"></span> <span id="html_libc6"><a href="/bookworm/libc6-udeb">libc6-udeb</a></span> </dd> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libdb5.3">libdb5.3</a> </dt> <dd lang="en">Berkeley v5.3 Database Libraries [runtime] </dd> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libgcc-s1">libgcc-s1</a> (>= 3.0) [not armel, armhf, i386, mipsel]</dt> <dd lang="en">GCC support library </dd> </dl> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libgcc-s1">libgcc-s1</a> (>= 3.5) [armel, armhf]</dt> </dl> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libgcc-s1">libgcc-s1</a> (>= 4.2) [i386, mipsel]</dt> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/libstdc++6">libstdc++6</a> (>= 11) </dt> <dd lang="en">GNU Standard C++ Library v3 </dd> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/wget">wget</a> </dt> <dd lang="en">retrieves files from the web </dd> </dl> <li> <dl> <dt><span class="nonvisual">dep:</span> <a href="/bookworm/zlib1g">zlib1g</a> (>= 1:1.1.4) </dt> <dd lang="en">compression library - runtime </dd> </dl> </ul> </div> <!-- end pdeps --> <div id="pdownload"> <h2>Download jigdo-file</h2> <table summary="The download table links to the download of the package and a file overview.
