And the dragon<MG1404> stood<MG2476> before<MG1799> the woman<MG1135> who was<MG3195> about<MG3195> to<MG3195> give<MG5088> birth<MG5088>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> when<MG3752> she gave<MG5088> birth<MG5088> he might devour<MG2719> her Child<MG5043>. <p class="hdg">The Male Child, Christ</p><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>And she gave<MG5088> birth<MG5088> to a Son<MG5207>, a male<MG733b>, who<MG3739> is<MG3195> going<MG3195> to<MG3195> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>rule<MG4165> all<MG3956> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>nations<MG1484> with a rod<MG4464> of iron<MG4603>; and her Child<MG5043> was caught<MG726> up to God<MG2316> and to His throne<MG2362>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Then<MG2532> the woman<MG1135> fled<MG5343> into the wilderness<MG2048> where<MG3699> she *had<MG2192> a place<MG5117> prepared<MG2090> by God<MG2316>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> there<MG1563> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>she would be nourished<MG5142> for 1,260<MG5507, 1250, 1835> days<MG2250>. <p class="hdg">The Angel, Michael</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And there was war<MG4171> in heaven<MG3772>, Michael<MG3413> and his angels<MG32a> waging<MG4170> war<MG4171> with the dragon<MG1404>. The dragon<MG1404> and his angels<MG32a> waged<MG4170> war<MG4171>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>and they did not prevail<MG2480>, and there was no<MG3761> longer<MG2089> a place<MG5117> found<MG2147> for them in heaven<MG3772>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And the great<MG3173> dragon<MG1404> was thrown<MG906> down, the serpent<MG3789> of old<MG744> who is called<MG2564> the devil<MG1228> and Satan<MG4567>, who deceives<MG4105> the whole<MG3650> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>world<MG3625>; he was thrown<MG906> down to the earth<MG1093>, and his angels<MG32a> were thrown<MG906> down with him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Then<MG2532> I heard<MG191> a loud<MG3173> voice<MG5456> in heaven<MG3772>, saying<MG3004>, <p class="paragraph"> “Now<MG737> the salvation<MG4991>, and the power<MG1411>, and the kingdom<MG932> of our God<MG2316> and the authority<MG1849> of His Christ<MG5547> have come<MG1096>, for the accuser<MG2725b> of our brothers<MG80> <i>and sisters</i> has been thrown<MG906> down, the one who accuses<MG2723> them before<MG1799> our God<MG2316> day<MG2250> and night<MG3571>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And they overcame<MG3528> him because<MG1223> of the blood<MG129> of the Lamb<MG721b> and because<MG1223> of the word<MG3056> of their testimony<MG3141>, and they did not love<MG25> their life<MG5590> <i>even</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>when<MG891> faced<MG891> with<MG891> death<MG2288>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/revelation/12-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>For this<MG3778> reason<MG1223>, rejoice<MG2165>, you heavens<MG3772> and you who dwell<MG4637> in them.
