Normally, you can only see sea caves from a small boat.<br>But here there is a tunnel connecting the promenade to Praia Formosa. But I am surprised that not more people visit this place. I love it too.<br>But if you are looking for a lesser visited viewpoint, head to Paradeo.<br>The views are even more impressive, in my opinion. You are more on the side, but you are also higher. You can really appreciate how steep the walls of the valley are. </li></ul><ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>Location –</strong><br>North of Funchal, 30min drive inland</li><li><strong>How to get there –</strong><br>The last portion of the road is on a mountain road. I saw people write it was difficult to drive. I disagree. There are sharp bends and it is steep, but otherwise the road is in excellent condition and there is hardly any traffic.
