And behold<MH2009>, <i>there were</i> twenty-five<MH6242, 2568> men<MH376> at the entrance<MH6607> of the gate<MH8179>, and among<MH8432> them I saw<MH7200> Jaazaniah<MH2970> son<MH1121> of Azzur<MH5809> and Pelatiah<MH6410> son<MH1121> of Benaiah<MH1141>, leaders<MH8269> of the people<MH5971a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>Then He said<MH559> to me, “Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, these<MH428> are the men<MH376> who devise<MH2803> wrongdoing<MH205> and give<MH3289> evil<MH7451b> advice<MH6098> in this<MH2088> city<MH5892b>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>who say<MH559>, ‘<i>The time</i> is not near<MH7138> to build<MH1129> houses<MH1004>. <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>This<MH1931> <i>city</i> is the pot<MH5518a> and we are the meat<MH1320>.’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651>, prophesy<MH5012> against<MH5921> them, prophesy<MH5012>, son<MH1121> of man<MH120>!” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Then the Spirit<MH7307> of the LORD<MH3068> fell<MH5307> upon me, and He said<MH559> to me, “Say<MH559>, ‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: “This<MH3651> is<MH3651> how<MH3651> you think<MH559>, house<MH1004> of Israel<MH3478>, for I know<MH3045> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>your thoughts<MH4609a, 7307>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>You have multiplied<MH7235a> your slain<MH2491a> in this<MH2088> city<MH5892b>, and filled<MH4390> its streets<MH2351> with <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>them.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651>, this<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: “Your slain<MH2491a> whom<MH834> you have laid<MH7760> in the midst<MH8432> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>the city are the meat<MH1320> and this<MH1931> <i>city</i> is the pot<MH5518a>; but <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>I will bring<MH3318> you out<MH3318> of it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>You have feared<MH3372a> a sword<MH2719>; so I will bring<MH935> a sword<MH2719> upon you,” the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> declares<MH5002>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“And I will bring<MH3318> you out<MH3318> of the midst<MH8432> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>the city, and hand<MH5414, 3027> you over<MH5414> to strangers<MH2114a>, and execute<MH6213a> judgments<MH8201> against you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>You will fall<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>. I will judge<MH8199> you to the border<MH1366> of Israel<MH3478>; so you shall know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>This<MH1931> <i>city</i> will not be a pot<MH5518a> for you, nor<MH3808> will you be meat<MH1320> in the midst<MH8432> of it; I will judge<MH8199> you to the border<MH1366> of Israel<MH3478>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>So you will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>; for you have not walked<MH1980> in My statutes<MH2706>, nor<MH3808> have you executed<MH6213a> My ordinances<MH4941>, but you have acted<MH6213a> in accordance with the ordinances<MH4941> of the nations<MH1471> around<MH5439> you.”’” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Now it came<MH1961> about<MH1961>, as I prophesied<MH5012>, that Pelatiah<MH6410> son<MH1121> of Benaiah<MH1141> died<MH4191>. Then I fell<MH5307> on my face<MH6440> and cried<MH2199> out<MH2199> with a loud<MH1419> voice<MH6963>, and said<MH559>, “Oh<MH162>, Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>! Will You bring<MH6213a> the remnant<MH7611> of Israel<MH3478> to a complete<MH3617> destruction<MH3617>?” <p class="hdg">Promise of Restoration</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Then the word<MH1697> of the LORD<MH3068> came<MH1961> to me, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, your brothers<MH251>, your relatives<MH251>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>your fellow<MH376> exiles<MH1546>, and the entire<MH3605> house<MH1004> of Israel<MH3478>, all<MH3605> of them, <i>are those</i> to whom<MH834> the inhabitants<MH3427> of Jerusalem<MH3389> have said<MH559>, ‘Keep<MH7368> far<MH7368> from the LORD<MH3068>; this<MH1931> land<MH776> has been given<MH5414> to us as a possession<MH4181>.’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651> say<MH559>, ‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: “Though<MH3588> I had removed<MH7368> them far<MH7368> away among the nations<MH1471>, and though<MH3588> I had scattered<MH6327a> them among the countries<MH776>, yet I was a sanctuary<MH4720> for them for a little<MH4592> while<MH4592> in the countries<MH776> where<MH834, 8033> they had gone<MH935>.”’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651> say<MH559>, ‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: “I will gather<MH6908> you from the peoples<MH5971a> and assemble<MH622> you from the countries<MH776> among which<MH834> you have been scattered<MH6327a>, and I will give<MH5414> you the land<MH127> of Israel<MH3478>.”’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>When they come<MH935> there<MH8033>, they will remove<MH5493> all<MH3605> its detestable<MH8251> things<MH8251> and all<MH3605> its abominations<MH8441> from it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And I will give<MH5414> them one<MH259> heart<MH3820>, and put<MH5414> a new<MH2319> spirit<MH7307> within<MH7130> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>them. And I will remove<MH5493> the heart<MH3820> of stone<MH68> from their flesh<MH1320> and give<MH5414> them a heart<MH3820> of flesh<MH1320>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>so<MH4616> that<MH4616> they may walk<MH1980> in My statutes<MH2708>, and keep<MH8104> My ordinances<MH4941> and do<MH6213a> them. Then they will be My people<MH5971a>, and I shall be their God<MH430>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>But as for those whose hearts<MH3820> go<MH1980> after their detestable<MH8251> things<MH8251> and abominations<MH8441>, I will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>bring<MH5414> their conduct<MH1870> down<MH5414> on their heads<MH7218>,” declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Then the cherubim<MH3742> lifted<MH5375> up<MH5375> their wings<MH3671> with the wheels<MH212> beside<MH5980> them, and the glory<MH3519b> of the God<MH430> of Israel<MH3478> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>hovered<MH4480, 4605> over<MH5921> them. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>The glory<MH3519b> of the LORD<MH3068> went<MH5927> up<MH5927> from the midst<MH8432> of the city<MH5892b> and stood<MH5975> over<MH5921> the mountain<MH2022> which<MH834> is east<MH6924a> of the city<MH5892b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/11-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>And the Spirit<MH7307> lifted<MH5375> me up<MH5375> and brought<MH935> me in a vision<MH4758> by the Spirit<MH7307> of God<MH430> to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>Chaldea<MH3778>, to the exiles<MH1473>.
