M. Allen. Then again, as these tents start at $15,000 (the one at right, at $17,000), without any furniture, it might be better to send the guests to a hotel.<br><br> Still, there is a lot of tent for the money. The basic models range from 10 by 15 feet to 15 by 30, and because they are all custom made, the size and design can be tweaked. They also have that evocative and romantic mesh-flap front door  and the romance of a link to the Africa of Hemingway, Ava Gardner and the great safari hunters. Sort of. <br><br> I wanted to buy an old African company, said Tee Faircloth, the owner of the company and a 36-year-old former bond trader. I kept coming back to Frank Murray Allen, who was the last of the gentleman hunters. Bunny was a nickname. Bror Blixen and Denys Finch Hatton got him started. In 1927, he was second gun for them on the royal safari of the Prince of Wales. <br><br> Mr. Allens company had nothing to do with furnishings, and after his death in 2002, when Mr. Faircloth flew to Kenya to speak to Mr. Allens family about taking it over, they were, as he put it, like, O.K., good luck  he hadnt done anything with it for years. <br><br> F. M. Allen bills itself as a Luxury African Safari specialist and has an East Side shop that carries clothing as well as safari furniture. The Web site, which is being redesigned, does not currently list prices for all items, so those who cannot travel without a Champagne bucket should know it retails for $2,200. <br><br> F. M.
